Premium Member Truly, Love Is To Be Treasured

Even with thy heart of gold,
Thine most precious treasure
Is thy feelings as deep as a river:
With currents of love taking ahold.

Gone

I try to grab ahold
My falling heart, pieces flying by
Can't grab ahold
Losing peice after piece
Unable to keep up

-they're all lost

Tied Hands

unable to grasp
 get ahold of things
 often slipping thru
 falling
 a one time chance
 quick, catch hold
 losing grip
 tumbles further
 shatters below

Truly You

Your music is a song to my soul
Your words dancing on my heart
Your faith got ahold on me
All while you swept me off my feet,
It is you that I've truly seen.

Premium Member Be a Baseball Bat

If I could get ahold of one thing
At one time
Than I'd be okay.
But life is a blizzard.
The idea of holding anything,
Like wearing water as a hat.
You might as well be a baseball bat.

Premium Member jokes on him

Sharky suave loan shark got ahold of my great aunt Jean Sue
Loaned her twenty thousand at the rate of eighty-two
Eighty-two percent is way too high I said.
Joke’s on him, she told me. I will soon be dead.

Premium Member Deer Minded

Deer Minded
All outfits
And no faces
Fleet feet
And no braces
Can a lover be gone
When they once held
Ahold of our heart
Dare I to question
Dare I to embark
On a trip
That’s worth going
Our savior
My ark
Plead I and say
Let us embark

Travel My Road For a Mile

Walk in my shoes for a day,
Travel my road for a mile,
Take ahold of my steering wheel,
Go ahead you drive for a little while!
See how my life feels.
See through my eyes for a time,
Have my problems for a day,
Let me show you the way,
So you can travel my road for a mile.

Our Poem

Tonight we will start our poem
We will grab ahold of each other, writing love letters.
We will kiss, letting the words flow from our mouths
We will hug, giving the stanzas room to roam
We will embrace each other, giving rhythms to rhymes
We will love each other, giving meaning to letters on a page

Can It Be

I didn't know it was you,
For you looked handsome as ever,
Calm an sweet.
My heart skipped a beat,
I lost a breath or two....
Once I realized it was you,
I stop the feelings from coming through,
Some got ahold of me
An some didn't make it through....
Can it be I'm still in love with you?

The Unexpected

Living is another way the devil keeps ahold of me
on every line of this page, I sink deeper into
vast open spaces
Empty, lies my minds blankness

In every word I express
sounds another voice, depressed

Help me in my slumber
eating away my breathe
let mercy have me
let this bring me closer to death.

Furnace Song

Whene'er it doth seem the fierce tempest rage -
Know thee then beloved, anon sails thy double wage.
Be thou gay in cruellest wind that doth blow -
For exercised therein thy strenght is blessed to grow.

Thy wit
Is as gold
That through most cruellest
Heat
must go.
Take ahold
Of thy mustard faith.
The throne awaits
He that will be brave...

To Strew Words In a Garden Bed

I'd like to gather my poems
and scatter them
like dewdrops
across acres of land
where they may fasten themselves
to the cool, gray soil
or get tangled
in natures bend

For those
who grab ahold
with thick roots
and impregnable purpose

I'd like to paint them
a golden sun
so they may sprout
into something more fragrant
than just a posy of words

Brighter Day

Tears of the sun, ray's of falling rain, catch a rainbow then watch it slowly fade. Grab
ahold of today, watch tomorrow disappear; hold onto happiness, let go of the fear.
Try something new, leave a fading life, count your blessings, throw away your strife.
Collect a heart, save a soul, wash your blues away. Thank someone you've never
known, and make this a brighter day!

You can count on me
within a small frame.
As colors have a name,
you can count on me.

You can count on me
with a childlike ease.
By twos or by threes,
You can count on me.

You can count on me.
Take ahold of my beads.
For your counting needs,
you can count on me.

You can count on me
by fives or by tens.
You can count on your friends.
You can count on me.

Until Death Do Us Part

Weeping willows
remind me of you.

And we danced
like it was Hawaii.

Until this time
I never knew
The intensity of
Your Death.

Subscribe to me
I wish.

Not unless I am some
Voodoo priestess
with a hint of your
Likeliness only
an Aberration.

Poisons now,
what you've never
Known have taken
Ahold of me.

And I'm sure
we'll meet again,
But not until I
Breathe me last
Breath.

Nightmare

I wake up crying alone in the dark;
The thoughts of the dream made me scream;
I seek out your hand but its not there, nor are you;
I take ahold the bear and hug it tight.

I hold it,rocking myself, that dream was to real;
How we used to be, oh so happy;
In your arms, I was so safe;
Your kiss made my heart leap.

I miss you cant you see?
Our love was strong;
She came along and broke it;
Now we are done.

My Children and Their Mittens

My children and their mittens they lose them all the time
They can't keep ahold of them no matter what they do
They put them in their pockets and they fall out
They put them on their dresser and they forget them
They put them in their closet and they can't find them
My children and their mittens what will I do
So I decided that I would sow them in their sleeves of their coats
And my children, they never lost their mittens again

It's Nothing

It's nothing
Except it's something,
a longing for a knowledge
that does not leave me aching.
There is something inside of me
It's nothing I know,
But I want to know
why nothing just won't let me go.
Something's got ahold of me
I long for knowledge and growth
But this nothing inside of me
is disrupting my proficiency
It's something that's blocking my judgement
and ruining the chances
It's nothing I know
Except something

Sweetness of Love

Sweetness whispered in my ear T'ween soft lips a sigh escapes Building on passions so sincere As your hands caress my shape Just grab ahold of my attention As your speaking to my soul While exploring my many dimensions Slowly make me lose self control Reawaken my sleeping curiosity As I feed your insatiable appetite We both can have so much generosity Our deepest dreams we can delight

The Trust of True Love

The world has ahold, of your silent soul.
The same story found, many times before.

Add some action scenes, where the hero wins.
and the breathless girl, follows close behind.

The trust of true love, classifies the heart.
and yes, it's broken, and left in its loss.

Yet there is still hope, for a heart to heal.
Where miracles mix, with our tender dreams.

Then magic happens, just like that first kiss.
The needs of the heart, always finds a way!

Heavens Prayer

Fighting off the devil in my mind
Seems to take up all my free time
I have the freedom to do as I please
Lord oh lord have mercy on me
Keep me focused on the task at hand
Lead me to the promised land
You know my heart so control my mind
Help me be what you designed
Don’t let the devil get ahold of me
Protect me from my enemy
Shield me from the doubt
It is in your name I shout

Save me protect me guide me through
It is only heaven that I pursue!

Age Had Got a Hold On Me

Age has got ahold on me
In this one passing glance
I'm not sure what I've done
In this flower of our romance.

I'm beginning to fall apart
I'm not sure on what to hold
In this picture of our first winter
It was so cold.

Why does love warm us
With such heat in the beginning?
Only to fade into smiles
As time keeps on spinning.

Bless the wind
And the warm breeze
The rushing tide and open seas
They are such a warm treasure
Among life's woes and constant fees.
