Poolside Serenade
As sultry as the weather,
As peachy as cloud nine.
Water flows as does my love.
Tonight is going to be fine.
Lean your head on my shoulders,
Kiss me on my cheeks.
Now, turn up the volume!
I’ll listen to what your heart speaks.
Deep pool waters are like your soul,
Waterslides are like plot twists:
They are cliff-hangers.
“So, when will our next show be?”
You are the only future that I ever want.
You are the present to which I will cling in life.
