Hunkered Down

We currently are facing an uncertain future,
nothing like my eighty-one years has seen yet.
Wounds beyond closing with staple or suture,
providing the world reasons, for many to fret.
Let our faith assures us that “this too shall pass”
and until that happens we must all hunker down.
individually it seems worse for the aging class,
prayer won’t cause glower but reduces your frown.
