UP
Up is where you sent your dreams;
Up is where all movement seems
Possible and probable,
Fluid, moveable.
Up is where your hopes have fled
Up is where great plans are fed
Determination born of desire
Spirits firm, hearts afire.
Up is where you head when things are dark,
Up when ambition falls short of its mark
This is when we pull ourselves together
To find the only question: whether
We shall stand and march to the fore,
Or retire, and respect ourselves no more.
Up is the only true direction,
Up the truest path to perfection.
We must always look Up, even in the dead of night,
Even when it strains our will to fight
Up the only option in the face of disaster;
Up the way for us to overcome, overmaster.
