Dark runs away
In light of day

Shadows fade fast
With dawn at last

Light in fond trace
Now greets each face

Come with fine grace
To live this place

Joy ever blooms
To flood your room

Watch happy groom
To purge dark gloom

Seize your time here
With precious cheer

Sparkle most clear
With love my dear

Touch with your heart
Such lavish art

Prize journey start
Work curious part

Glimpse beyond chimes
The word you rhyme

Time after time
Watch pleasure rhyme

Live your own spree
As truth sets free

Poise thus can be
The way you see

Live sparkle brief
Forsake sad grief

Just like stray leaf
Just simply breathe

Live sacred space
With light in place

Love as you face
Joy's ample grace

The Wise Old Owl

The wise old owl has come today
To train a young one in the way
Of all the things that it should know
So he can hoot and wisely grow

He'll show this one just what to do
So on it's own it'll fly so true
It's prey will never have a chance
When it swoops down in it's death dance

He'll soar the skies,he'll hide from view
He'll do the things he's been taught to do
Before you know it he'll be all grown
He'll be teaching others that are his own

But for right now he'll have to learn
Of all these things til it's his turn
So that when he's older he will be
The wise old owl on a teaching spree

Attention All

An unimaginable apocalypse,
Will render this planet eclipsed..
It'll not take much time for this
As we aren't taking much to destroy it!

Every action has an equal, opposite reaction
It's proven law by great physicist, Sir Isaac Newton;
So we can't get aloof from this functional logic
Destruction at both ends 'll make the loop complete
Spree to destroy at both ends has grown in it's severity
Green lands deserted, islands submerged
Species vanished, genetic diversity eroded and
Melting ice caps have triggered severe floods...

This game of cause and effect is creating great havoc..
Chimneys are spewing venomous gases
Oil drillers boring treacherously deep...
We have rolled out behemoth machines...
Not left a chance to explore, exploit!
Virgin forests are left with scars of our boots all over!

Burgeoning demands but scarce are the resources...
But our platter of priority has science, politics and progress
Air, soil and water are losing their quality
But that's not our concern at all...
In using these vitals of life ,we 're so reckless
Shouldn't we realise its time to brainstorm ???
And to evolve a model to mitigate the ills and reform

We 've no right to deny the future generation,
their vital needs to survive
Every man Being the stakeholder,
has to bear the blame and take burden to resolve...
Best is to bridge a course of harmony n' stop nature's slingshot of vengeance
Judicious planning n' avoiding ruthless brutality on nature,
will handover a safe and lively planet to humanity and all!

Premium Member Ann's Chocolate Ganache

Once upon a time...
The story now says,
Happy moments rhyme
Warm feelings this way.

Beauty in a cake:
Chocolate ganache,
Fiesta in a bake
With clever panache.

Feel your taste buds speak:
In wonder's surprise,
Mouth feel greets fond peak
In flavours so nice.

Word of mouth reviews:
Treasure this fine bake,
If Michelin knew
Your chocolate cake!

A fond recipe:
Ann's chocolate cake,
Thick ganache funds spree,
A generous take!

A mix optimal:
In premium fashion,
So phenomenal,
Worthy of mention.

With this fine ganache,
A sure ecstasy,
Gobble up panache,
Happy meets easy!

A flash of delight:
Ever magnetic,
Devotion highlights
Finesse dramatic!

Once in a grand while:
In breezy fashion,
A cake styles fond smiles
In sheer attraction!

Add more than enough
Secret ingredient,
Yes a special stuff
To bring heart radiance.

Money cannot buy
What the heart now knows,
Here's to eating highs
To make your soul glow!

Premium Member 'twas the Eve Before Christmas

'Twas the eve before Christmas and through all the house chaos reigned!
With all to be done, rapport 'twixt Ma and Pa was rather strained!
No creatures were stirrin' (as yet!) - Cecil the cat nor Horace the dog,
Who lay snuggled and snoozin' nigh the warmth of the yuletide log.

Ma was fixin' a green bean casserole and ham for dinner next day.
Pa wrestled with assemblin' a doll house and bike without delay.
The kids were snuggled in bed wonderin' how reindeer flew,
And prayin' Santa wouldn't get stuck sneakin' down the chimney flue!

The kids left salami and milk nigh the tree for dear old Santa Claus.
Cecil lapped up the milk and Horace ran off with the salami in his jaws!
The cat took a likin' to the sparklin' ornaments on the Christmas tree,
Knockin' it to the floor and hidin' behind the couch after his little spree!

Ma and Pa worked all night - the grandfather clock chimed four!
Suddenly, there was a persistent rappin' comin' from the front door!
Who should appear with bags in hand but Uncle Clyde and Aunt Sue!
"We were passin' through and thought we'd spend Christmas Day with you!"

Awakening of Spring - 2023

Whispering winds in the midst of dawn,
Break winter’s grip, its coldness gone.
Beneath the earth, green tendrils peek,
Promising secrets they can't yet speak.

Buds upon branches begin to bloom,
Chasing away the winter's gloom.
Robins return with melodies sweet,
Announcing Spring with every tweet.

Dew-kissed petals, hues so bright,
Dance and shimmer in morning light.
Streams, once frozen, now gently flow,
Kissing the banks with a tender glow.

Nature’s symphony starts to play,
A rhapsody of life in a bright array.
Fields of flowers, a fragrant spree,
As the world awakens, so wild and free.

In this beginning, life finds its way,
With hope and beauty, come what may.
For in Spring's embrace, the world is new,
Bathed in a golden, sunlit hue.

Days drift away like dusty sand,
Time echoes rhymes of chimes we lost;
Words sadly play with change that trends,
Space channels mimes of cast and cost.

Taste curious touch in passage brief,
Transit the haste where love flings spree;
Time wears out much in joy and grief,
Lovely lines waste as ink stains flee.

Come to know this place for the first time,
Yes you were here not long ago;
You knew fond bliss in sexy chimes,
Once upon cheer in poignant show.

Now witness how change brings new fare,
Sad, mad and glad have gathered dust;
Look here as now frames succinct ware,
Sense good and bad as disguised trust.

By this sea shore the seagulls voice,
So much noise dash as silence sleeps;
Stillness holds more than jumpy poise,
Watch the waves splash in mourning weep.

The Infamous Rascal

Under your twisted lips, runs a wooden tongue called time, you have drained the city of all that is divine, and your tongue is rolling over into your head as if you are getting ready to expose the dead. You went on a shooting spree, committing murder in the first degree, mashing up sauce and pans while you infiltrate the substance all over the land.

You bear the mark of the Antichrist in your stomach and the beast curled up in your back side while the guitar is strumming silently in your head as if music is your only gift and sardines, are your only dish.

Retrace your steps and look in the hole and you will see how far the tunnel has gone into the river bed and what about the clock above the wall? It’s time for you to get out of bed and take a long cold shower.

Your wildest dream is buried in your heart and it has been with you from the very start, walk up the road and turn around the bend and you will see the lion occupied its den, you can tame it from outside but don’t make the mistake and go inside, your wildest dream is full of pride.

The morning is looking for you and the afternoon has its wing all over you, the evening and nights are filled with delight but the dragons are active after midnight but the firefly will lead you into the light.

I have seen you wailing on that road with Illusion covering your face and reality leading you to a woeful embrace. The train is speeding and you must recuse yourself from the track before you get hit in your back.

Setting up late at nights to roll the infamous dice has set off a new course of action with marinated duck clucking in the oven and sauté beef frozen on ice watching the curry chicken dancing on top of the plate.

They set up all night waiting for you to try on a brand-new pair of shoes; I don’t think it will fit because deception is stuff in its sole. It’s too small for your feet and I can feel the Cinderella heartbeat spreading the heat.

This is more than fifteen-year-old inquiry of a man and a woman on a reckless and deceptive journey and the schemes that they use to obtain the price came at a horrendous sacrifice both man and woman fell into the ditch leaving a painful bridge behind and we finally got them off the pitch.

Plastic

What is this fascination I find so drastic a devil's game we all call plastic,

Plastic flowers plastic chairs plastic gum on side walks and stairs
plastic animals plastic toys plastic girls and plastic boys plastic parents everywhere with plastic phones stuck to their brains, this world could be so fantastic but everywhere is full of plastic, plastic sex for plastic pleasure plastic art we now call treasure plastic cars and plastic trees it's not hard to see we have a disease , for plastic money we sell our time in a plastic world full of crime, it could make you laugh if it wasn't so drastic people walking round heads full of plastic, plastic oceans oceans die plastic plates for plastic food , plastic thoughts that only think of growth growth of sicknesses growth of despair growth of fear, this world really could be fantastic if we could only ditch our love of plastic, plastic bags to hold your plastic that holds your desires from your shopping spree it's all plastic, a plastic civilisation on its knees with its arms held out plastic please.

A sage knows well
How time must tell
Just where love dwells

A man must be
Just what he sees
Wise, clear and free

A soul feels poise
As heart knows choice
That flavours voice

A touch of truth
Now speaks of proof
In primal grooves

A way to be
Is to set free
Fond play and spree

A path you take
Is what you make
In curious stake

A light now shines
Both yours and mine
A touch divine

A glimpse of joy
Frames fond employ
Through play and ploy

A prize now shows
A certain glow
As your life flows

A profound way
Just simply says
Live well each day

A time to ground
A face now found
As love floods round
