The Truth is often hard to find and even harder to hold on to
So many things within our own mind everyday something new
For the truth you can not replace being defined by its very Name
Unfounded without Grace for the truth is we're all filled with shame
Truth has and always will exist and will be shown to you in the end
For the Truth is right in our midst as people continually try to bend
You can not find the Truth alone, but only your heart is able to see
And see the Light Truth has shone as the same Truth set you free
The Truth will oft Call out to you but you must open up that door
Only then will you know what is True as your heart will be sure
The Truth is the Life and Way, sheep are lost without a Shepherd
That you understand I pray even though you have never concurred
Not by deeds but by His Grace alone will one come to see His Glory
But there's one thing you must face, you don't even know His Story
Right next to You by Your side a Truth you could never comprehend
How many times He has tried as with Him there's no fences to mend
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth
the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart
that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:9 (KJV)
Good thoughts vs. Bad Thoughts
Truth vs. Lies
Order vs. Disorder
Wisdom vs. Ignorance
Wealth vs. Poverty
Honor vs. Dishonor
When did pride, power and politics
Replace justice
When did protection become persecution
When do politicians pretend to be priest
When is instead of land there is an empire
When did leaders claim rulership
And earthly alliances no longer perfect
A cross and a collar
A reward to be won
A badge and a suit
A responsibility to some
A uniform and a gun
Killing for their rightousness begun
Citizens with a country and agreement
Rising like the sun
An employee who's duties
are not connected to funds
All are connected
in what you teach your sons
There's no need for a book
To tell you what's the truth
But when the answers are
pride. greed and laziness
When the answers are
Why, no and what for
When the answers should be
I feel, I will and I've done
Bravery does not defeat fear
What's required is faith
When reason , logic and philosophy
are starring us in the face.
I like to buy different magazines
And bring them to my home
Cut out all the faces
And replace them with my own
I always look so happy
In other peoples lives
I can be the best of husbands
Along side the best of wives
It all depends on my mood
On any given day
I could be hang gliding in the South Pacific
Or hiking the hills of Mandalay
On a beach in Florida
With perfect kids flying a kite
At a Hollywood premier
My face on any star I like
I used to lead a boring life
As I sat around at home
Now pasting my face in different magazines
I go and do anything I want
I just purchased NASA monthly
Dare I go to the moon
If they picture two astronauts together
You know I'd go with you
There's this island magazine I've been saving
From a travel agency
Can't wait to paste my face out swimming
In the bluest of the bluest seas
I'll flip through all the pages
Till I come up with the perfect tan
On top of the perfect body
Then I will be the perfect man
It's not always fun and games
I do have a serious side
When I paste my face onto orphans or the homeless
Then wet the pages as I cry
There's so many different things I do
Depends on the mood and the magazine
What peaks my interest at the store that day
And who it is I'd like to be
Warm, whimsical words surround me
Guiding me through the field of nouns
Shedding light on the beauty of a verb
Embracing me with the creation of verses
~
Brilliants hues capture a bold stanza
Reflecting a dance of whimsy and creativity
Flowing with echoes of flourishing humility
Amid warm whispers of adverbs and pronouns
~
Light shines upon the miracle of heartfelt terms
Expressions brought to life through faith, hope and love
Amazing poems built upon truth and serenity
Coming together to form a graceful ingenuity
~
Words so alive they seem to blaze with a inner fire
Inspiring truths to be revealed inside their dreams
Clarifying the meanings and definitions in the term
Both peaceful and warm while breathing with desire
~
There are not enough lyrics or expressions in a thought
To reveal the sense of naked beauty in a sweet phrase
Sending tremors of delight that thrill with an electric rhythm
Prompting nature to see the joy expressed within the creation
~
Jubilant poetries descend like doves upon the fiery writer
Whose prose melt with a sense of intimacy and adoration
Sighs from the one who reads the sentences and paragraphs
Keeping the sweetest promises as memoirs of the letters
~
Phrases and idioms replace melancholy, pain and grief
Enchanting souls with mysteries, truths and vibrant wisdoms
Enticing spirits to sing with joy and dance with enthusiasm
While there is time on earth to enjoy this delicious, artistic flow

Flowers...beautiful flowers.
These flowers will not replace my friend.
Their beauty will soon go the way of life-
Fade and wither and then take flight.
Piled upon this mound of dirt to mark our sorrow,
Offered as a sacrifice to soothe our souls.
Petal nor thorn could save this rose.
Like flowers cut down in height of beauty,
This face that bloomed and wore big smiles,
Is covered here to rest awhile.
Then beyond the markers numbered many,
Placed in rows to make order of death,
I saw something that took my breath.
Flowers...colorful flowers...that filled
The field yet fallow...waiting for the day
When friends and family gather...and pray.
Flowers...beautiful flowers.
Delicate, fragile
secreted away beneath your beautiful bract
always hiding from the world
you live in a dream shared only by you
alone, lonely
but better alone then afraid
better alone then dejected
better alone then hurt
shrouded in your cloak of royal color,
you feel invisible, protected
but I see you
I see your heart, warm and full
fringed in frail lace, sweet and gentle
guileless and open
your fragility defines you, so trusting you are,
yet allowing you to so easily be broken
and I have broken you
you trusting me to be gentle, to understand you, your needs
and me, insensitive, demanding
gruffly pushing past your leaves of green then purple
my movements careless and awkward
stripped from you your gentle flower, white and pure
gone forever
but perhaps in time trust will return and another will grow,
again, hidden away beneath your loving bracts,
and replace your broken heart
with the beauty that so fills you.

I fly JetBlue for their snacks, TV's
And lots and lots of flights.
Doritos is my favorite snack,
Providing yummy bites.
The flight attendant just revealed
That, in this airline venue,
These Nacho Cheese delights
Will soon be taken off the menu.
Though Cheez-its will replace them
(Both have Cheese within their name),
Every snacker would agree that they
Are nowhere near the same.
To the top execs of JetBlue -
Word of mouth might cause a break
For your loyal Frequent Fliers
Might just switch for your mistake.
Do not sacrifice our Nachos
Thinking it could help our health.
If we start to fly United,
It just might affect your wealth!

“Sir, a courier from the palace, posthaste.
A letter, sealed in alabaster wax—though oddly, the envelope is brown.”
—“Brown, you say? That’s abstruse. The palace, with all its aegis and aureate decorum, sends a missive in such a clod’s attire?”
“Indeed, sir. One might adumbrate a message of urgency or a deliberate elision of pomp.”
—“Hm. The hour is balmily acherontic. Across the channel, the clangor of war grows egregious. I dare not be caught in a deluge of decisions without due diligence. This envelope may well be a chimera.”
“Do you suspect it’s from the king?”
—“If not, then from a consanguineous hand. The appetency for peace is amaranthine, yet the nemesis we face is no amorist. He is bumptious, apoplectic, and besotted with ambition. I fear this letter may be a call to arms—or worse, a call to helm.”
“I abjure war, sir.”
—“And yet, madame, war does not abjure us. It is amort of our ambivalence. We must cogitate not on our dislikes, but on our duty.”
“Then open it. The aurora of fate awaits.”
—“Tut-tut. Ah! I am summoned to form a government. Prime Minister, they say.”
“Oh my. And Chamberlain?”
—“A crestfallen calyx, I suspect. I shall replace his wilt with a ductile lily. Now, to the palace—where the king awaits, purplish in mood, brown in discretion.”
I look around my house where there is no room
And I think no more shopping shall I ever do
Shopping used to be my thing, but lately
My multitude of purchases have simply
Made me blue.
The house is getting smaller. It feels like
Stuff has taken over. It is strange how
Fast it grew.
Weirdly enough, the stuff is not being used.
It is clogging up the house, and it makes me
Feel blue.
I have never thought of myself as a hoarder,
But I do now. Yes, a purge is what I need to do.
A gigantic sale, but who would come out here?
I live in the country where cars are very few.
I will have a freebee party, invite my friends, and
Have them take all the stuff they want that’s new.
Are you kidding? We both know I’d run off to the store
And replace all this crud, and buy some more too.
I will ask Joe to help me find a nice, orderly way
“so I can enjoy this house with you.”
Uh-oh. His ideas involve throwing away a bunch of
Terrific stuff. That I cannot do.
I guess I will continue to climb over the
Piles in the kitchen as I make my famous stew
And this conversation never happened, if you
Want to remain friends with me, okay, you?
Please come over here and rob the place.
The door is open
I will be gone each day 'til two.
