Premium Member Living a Scot In My Home Land

I've lived in my land all of my life
travelled in many other lands on holiday
but always to return to what I call home
cause it's special always come what may

The weather is well documented as dull
but has its bright spells not often as it should
when the sun comes out it's so colourful
brightens up your day get you in right mood

Raised up many a famous poetic pen
Burns, Scott and Bonar to name a few
makes one seek to be inspired by them
hold your pen up to wait in the queue

The scenery of the highlands and lowlands
will take your breath away so very grand
the majesty of the wonder of its creator
shows the finger of a divine hand

So many grand castles and mountains
really there's so very much to tell
but really you should really come yourself
to see it in its glory to watch it all gel!

Poetry Soup Rocks

Poets around the world gather right here
Over mounts and founts where muse is found clear
Expecting greatness from Poetry Soup
Then finding it when you need to recoup
Rehabilitated when you feel at home
Your sweet quill shall pen the perfect poem

Simplistic yet deep I do write sometimes
Or a long acrostic poem that rhymes
Utterly amazing poetry site
Put our hearts together and let’s go write!

Relieving your angst from a long hard day
Open up that journal, do it your way
Caring for others when kindness is yearned
Kaleidoscope of cultures we have learned
So gather in love; for this gift is earned
!

Premium Member Ho Ho Ho

Haul back from Winter Fairy land the wondrous Christmas tree
Open up the boxes with bright ornaments and all the trimming.

Hear the kids shout for Santa Claus and Frosty the Snowman oh so merry.
Obedient they are too, like little elves, with visions of toys, their joy brimming

Harness up the horses; get the sled. It’s Jingle bells time for you and me.
Over the snow, the sleigh bells ring. Memories like these will not be dimming.
