Abc Animal Twist

ABC Animal Twist

Adored and diverse, life thrives on earth; each day nature sees new births.
Big and small, abundantly in seas and trees; great beauty breathes.
Chameleons, cats, corn snakes, and coots, survive great threats in life's pursuit.
Delightful dragonflies from dart frogs duck; drake-crakes scoot upon lakes.
Eagles and egrets soar blue skies; an elephant endangered cries.
Fabulous fauna: fairy flies, and deer upon flora feed needs.
Graceful purple gallinules, young goats, and giraffes bring joyful laughs.
Hag-fish, halibut and hammerhead birds…birds? Yes! Nature preserves.
Insects and ibis work their charm; crusty isopods cause alarm.
Jaguars enjoy tasty meals; leftovers are the jackals' appeal.
Kiwi that fruits, kiwi that flies both species in New Zealand resides.
Living world the Creator made; since the beginning, wisdom stayed.
Matchless miracles, wonders, and births together blessed on our earth.
Never alone, no matter where, life exists here, there, everywhere.
Oh how beautiful, artfully wonderful, God-primed blissful place.
Planet earth and outer space together share a glorious race.
Question not; God loves this world. See creations glide, slide, swim, and swirl.
Reverence life; it was made with love; He still watches from up above.
Still breezes and sunshine please; sturgeon, shrimp, salmon, and sardines feed;
Termites, thrashers, terriers and teal find niches that have appeal.
Under God's skies, the umbrella birds fly. Man ponders; God replies.
Venomous snakes make rodents quake; Vultures clean up for good health's sake.
Weeping willows watch wolves whelp; chirping yellow warblers sing to elves.
X-Ray fish known since early days leave modern man looking amazed.
Yosemite toads, yetis, and yaks live on the lands without lack.
Zoology on earth from alligators to zorilla zings!

I Closed My Eyes To See

I sit alone in the forest among the grass and moss one day
I hoped to grasp fulfillment in my heart and alone pray
I shut my eyes to see my surrounding about me
I felt suddenly so cheerful and free
The sun beams leaped and danced upon my shoulder
They pressed against my warm skin much bolder
And as I listened to the sun shining
I seen in the midst of my darkness it gleaming
It told me of it's story through minds eye, I too see
Oh it made me feel so free
I continued to listen what the leaves then told me
Brushing upon one another so swiftly
It was a sound, oh my I listened delightfully
The leaves then burst in laughter, swish swish ha ha,
Chuckling ever so high as the wind did blow
It's extending branches twisted to and fro
Tickling one another of the full free winds frinzy
In the distance the church bells rang
Clang, Clang, Clang,
I even hear the people inside as they sang
The flow of their voices rested gently on the evening wind
For through eternity in this place I wanted to spend
The sunlight no more upon me within it's driven range
The coolness of the evening jumped out at me
I sit a bit longer in my minds eye the scenery to see
Again as I gasped, I suddenly do feel so free
I listened to the distant buzzing of the bees
The coolness looked so vicious and so strong
I shut my eyes no longer, the darkness was all around
With my eyes I seen the sad, dark, gloomy mossy ground.
What fun I'd had today as I shut my eyes and watched the
scenery with mostly my ears
Now a blind man of his in tuned senses, a Gift from God to him given
and should never fear the darkness, or challenged by his fears.
For that day I spent in the darkness sensing all the landscape
Over and through my senses a lovely gift God did over me drape.

Welcoming Winter

Winter weather comes in starkness; but human spirit adds its blaze.
Flickering embers spark the fire; sending fragrance everywhere.
Stockings hung beneath the mantle, burning wood, eyes in a daze.
Glad hearts singing, holiday ringing, shoppers rushing here and there,
The stint of winter man has entered, real loves viable affair.

Wind-songs float on gentle breezes; melodies traverse freezing land.
Gifts of love become infectious as people demonstrate their care.
Thoughtful folks seek out the needy in hopes to lend a helping hand.
Life's refreshments cheering the season, love and giving fills the air.
Lights adorn the darkest nights, uplifting souls with holiday fair.

Seeking God's mantle, conferred to men, aids calmness, oh, times fast pace.
Devoted service freely given, teaches souls a peaceful love.
As the season welcoming winter, earth takes on a brand new face.
Likewise men look up to God finding renewed calmness from above.
Slower paces, cold days know, warms while hearts escape life's push and shove.

Lively feasts and celebrations change into nature's winter show.
Squirrels with acorns tucked in tree trunks, snuggle, snowflakes falling down.
Deer sleep in the crinkling cover; temperatures plummet very low.
All is well upon the earth, when daylight brings sunlit warmth around.
Fallen leaves decorate the earth with reds and yellows turning brown.

So it is that life does cycle interwoven with social themes.
Man and nature on one planet, sharing the great gifts God has made.
Distracted at times, mundane actions, yet reminded, so it seems.
That with great wisdom God created every season's next cascade.
Frozen waters fight the springtime when winter's beauty is waylaid.

Hope's Mantra

Hopes Mantra
     By Dane Smith-Johnsen

High above the ground, hope’s mantra sang, nestled in the big oak.
The cool canopy breeze carried wistful wishes through its leaves.
Prayers to God chimed true and clear, her hurting heart and brimming fear.
Screams of unsaid sorrows soared beyond earth’s mortal realm that day.

The cool canopy breeze carried wistful wishes through its leaves.
Lifting, for a moment, harsh word’s distant echoes in her mind.
Screams of unsaid sorrows soared beyond earth’s mortal realm that day.
And for an instant in that tree, lovely laughter set fear free.

Lifting, for a moment, harsh word’s distant echoes in her mind.
She, singing with the doves, felt God’s almighty love from above.
And for an instant in that tree, lovely laughter set fear free.
God gave comfort to that child whose fragile soul was sweet and mild.

She, singing with the doves, felt God’s almighty love from above.
Harm did still abound, but she with Him, had protection found.
God gave comfort to that child’s fragile soul, devoted and mild.
Strongly, Satan’s endless shoves tested her faith in God’s great love.

Harm did still abound, but she with Him, had protection found.
Facing temptations new, she visited the tree, gone, cut down.
Strongly, Satan’s endless shoves tested her faith in God’s great love.
And in the end, pleasant memories of songs on the wind won.

The cool canopy breeze carried wistful wishes through its leaves.
Prayers to God chimed true and clear. Her hurting heart still brimming fear.
Lifting, for a moment, harsh word’s distant echoes in her mind.
High above the ground, hope’s mantra sang, nestled in the big oak.

Defenders Endangered (For Free Style! Contest Sponsored By: Syed Amaan Ahmad)

Defenders Endangered

Citizens unite spirits; choose the better part!
Life, God given, stolen by greed’s black-heart.
Industry progressed far beyond the pushcart.
Thus, setting some selves apart as better…smart.

The endangered protecting the endangered –
Compassion fettered by solutions gartered
The courageous, methodically hindered,
Lacquered lives, wildlife “murdered”, man endangered.

Watch helplessly, complaining; or take action!
Bail out nature ravaged; write a new caption.
“Defenders of Wildlife go for Gold Bullion.”
Shield dying manatees, turtles, and sturgeon.

Animals flailing, ruling leaders failing,
Minds disarrayed, inside folks are crying.
Did we get to this place wanting and buying?
Priorities, pocketbooks…are folks lying?

Take it to court to find solutions in short.
Killing is no game…business…or sport.
Drilling in the gulf BP must abort.
Then pay to all people for life they did thwart.

Struggles in nature hurt in various ways.
The chow chain is altered…less food at buffets.
The airways go stinking as wildlife decays.
Meanwhile the culprits squander words on sashays.

What will it take to make clean up occur?
Will a boycott of products stop endless banter?
Cook by the campfire; let adventure flicker.
Keep sights on God; infrastructure may fracture.

Lust not for things, but make God man’s desire.
Cut back on comforts; let creativity inspire.
Love one another; make family your empire.
Or face the last days and the cleansing with fire.

Premium Member Soft Glowing Embers

The birds are rejoicing this morning...Each species is trying to out sing the other..The
sunrise calls me to enjoy its glow of kaleidoscope of color dancing off the whispy
charcoal clouds..The quiet__freedom from manmade sound is just temporary for cars and
trucks constantly interrupt the peace but the birds don't slow down one bit...They are just
praising God for the glorious day that he has honored them to live.. The mist or fog in the
first valley is not as dense this morning as if it is has dried out somewhat but rain is
suppose to come back in so we will be having more fog and mist..Thanks God for the
moisture and the cool of the day for the heat of summer will be here and along with it
uncomfortable weather...The color of the sky has changed again ..It seems that the sun
is trying to warm the sand colored clouds with a soft glowing fire that is just barely
burning.. The embers are soft red hot on the horizon. . The roosters are trying their best
to bring the sun on up....The other birds have quieted somewhat..It seems that they have
had their time of worship and have gathered food to carry home to the young...Now the
embers on the horizon have renewed and a bright glow comes form the sun fire that
warms the earth....Thank you Lord for the time on the porch to renew and refresh my inner
being...Amen

Premium Member Aurora Borealis

The sunrises like the aurora borealis this morning
With the morning star still glowing brightly
Crickets calling for their mates to come
Noise of man already begun

The air is cool with a crispness
Inviting one to stay on the porch
Taking in all God's awaking of the earth
A few whispy ink black clouds grace the sky

Breathing deeply enjoying the oxygen supplied
My body by God who created the earth
Birds begin to sing God's praises
One lone bird flying high in the darkness

He is just a shadow flying by
To grace my morning on the porch
He must be the early bird that gets the worm
There is a stillness but yet a can feel the air move

As the sun comes slowly up the morning star fades
Gradually disappearing from sight
Yet it is still there its brillance hidden by the sun
Each tree shadow takes on a different shape

The colors in the sky constantly changes
Just like our lives, no matter how well planned
Life happens and changes occur for good or bad
With mountain top experiences or down in the valley

God is always there but sometimes
We walk off and leave him
He weeps as we turn our back to go
Thank you God for this time

My time on the porch

Haiku Crazy Wisdoms

The crashing waves ripped.
One surfboard flipped, disappeared –
And strength swam ashore.

Soldiers seek God’s face
Amid blasting, fire, and death.
A few find solace.

Women birth children.
Fathers become their leaders -
When love has no girth.

Tsunamis may drown,
Earthquakes may scatter earth around.
Willingly, God helps

The distant planet
Travels, showing its dark face –
Man shall see its light.

Signs and seasons pass.
Life lessons inflict sore pain.
But God can uplift.

Daybreak welcomes dawn.
The sun delivers brightness.
Wisdom is thankful.

Before the sunrise,
A rooster crows in darkness.
Singing bragging rights.

Traveling with speed,
Interstate traffic flies by.
Some folks watch and pray.

Hanging on to life,
Two, in sickness and in health,
Love nature’s great gifts.

Time passed slowly
Once upon a youthful time,
But speeds up with age.

Fool-heart was happy
When it heard many crickets –
Ringing in its head.

Euphoria knows.
A wonderful thing…the mind –
Can be a compass.

God gives His riches.
Open eyes perceive great gifts –
Beauty everywhere.

Noah's Gone Fishing

It snowed in Baghdad yesterday;
The Whales will have to find
Somewhere else to go;
The Islands are SOLD OUT.

The traffic in the sky
Is going to get worse;
As the Earth floods again,
The Lost City of New Orleans comes to mind.

Noah looked out his window,
And it was unseasonably warm,
Not a cloud in the sky.

He decided to go fishing,
But when he got to the ocean
They told him it was CLOSED for renovations.

The gods looked up from
Their studio apartment in the ghetto.
"He doesn't realize the flood
Will come from below,"
One of them says, which is not important.

“The land named by RED which was inappropriately christened
For one thing it is not, GREEN
Is the stage it will take place on.”

"The people want to know WHEN?" the God of Traffic asks.
"Tell them, sooner than you think,"
Says the God of Money,
Who knows death is imminent.

The Almighty Dollar goes home,
And takes a bath with a bread maker,
As Noah tries to resurrect
A miniature version of his ark inside a bottle of ABSOLUT.

Prayer of a Bloom

Prayer of a Bloom

We are born in the world,
And grown here for ever
Yes, our god is the sun,
He gives growth to us.
For our perfect growth
We pray to our god sun.

“oh! The god of the world the sun
You are giving a good growth to us.
Taking care of us like a mother
Teaching, how to give fruits to people like a father,
Oh! The god sun, you are caring us
Until the dusk, In the night
Disguise of a moon, you are giving
New birth everyday for us.

We know, you are hearkening the people
Yes, like us, they are for you.
Oh! The god of the sun
We know your bloom daughter
Yes, she is sunflower
Where do you rise upon there?
She hearken you until you there
If you leave your daughter
Her face will shrivel soon
Please be with us, amen”

The sun said, not differentiate
You are all my bloom and my daughter
It’s nature way, I have to go on.
Now, you are a server of the people,
You could give, what they are want from you.

                                                                                   U.S.AURROBINDHAN
