Premium Member I'M a Writer

I’m a writer – writing my story
Across your heart,
Through your dreams and memories,
Feelings that make me believe
You will always be a gift
To me, my beautiful and talented
Husband, the miracle of my heart
The whisper of joy in my thoughts
The light that silences my dark

I’m a writer – the scribe
With words to reveal – how much
You mean to me, my beloved,
The reason that I know what it is
To give without a reason,
To love without restriction,
To listen to my feelings, the ones
That tell me you are my heartbeat,
My dream and my need,
The reason that I know what it is
To love like there is nothing on earth
More wonderful than the love
That you show when you give me
The music from your soul,
The love that always knows…

Just what to say, when to listen
And when to speak, what holds meaning
Just what I need – I never have to plead,
Because you are the friend who is always
There to defend me with your gift
Love that is always sincere, honest and giving
With the miracle of a heart who beats
For me, the one who will love you forever
With love that writes your dream in my spirit,
Your light on my heart
And your kiss on my breath

With you, my dear husband –
I know what it is to love completely!

Take Care

take care poem
the joys of marriage go to ruin,
the loves, the cares, the sharing,
the wonderous unit god gave to man,
we drop by just not caring,

what started out with heavenly joy,
that was shared both ways,
there seems to come the bickering,
no matter what each say,

we tend to blame our dearest friend,
the one we love the most,
and at the end we are the one
that feels the fiery roast,

the knowing little gestures,
the touching of the hand,
all the happiness together
as we share the golden band,

we loose the friendly atmosphere,
of two people still as one,
remembering only bad things,
and forgetting the good things we done,

we forget to say honey thanks,
as a partner you are the best,
we drop the loving words,
that gave the marriage zest,

there comes the separation,
the parting of our ways
its sure to both
that were as one
they will be long and lonely days,

to those that go the joyous aisle,
with all your love to share,
remember marriage is a blessing
for your partner cares,

be kind gentle n loving
as you go around the bend,
you will hold the hand thats dear to you
and hold it to the end,,,,,

Goodbye, Hello

Five years come and gone without your heart on the line.
Your voice has almost chased away all the sanity left in my brain.
Somehow you take up residence where there is a "no vacancy" sign.
It still fathoms me at how easy this all was for you to feign.

I am so tired of trying to understand all these childish notions.
True love is and always will be nothing more than a fairy tale.
I may have had better luck had I used Tarot cards and potions.
To grieve for our horrible marriage I shall wear the blackest veil.

It seems as if I was a wife, but you were never ready to do your part.
You can't have it both ways, either choose the wrong way or the right.
Why doesn't it feel wrong to you to toy with another person's heart?
A marriage takes work from each partner and I no longer wish to fight.

I thought this was forever and I loved you more than you'll ever know.
You turned the once warm feelings I had for you to hard stone.
I am no longer in love with you and I'm sorry I now have to let you go.
Sadly, as I always suspected I was in this marriage all alone.
