The tormenting time came in my life with the future at stake,
when writhing in the crushing clutch of smothered suffering,
my burdened heart broke and bled in the inflicted pining ache,
I didn’t find the soothing arms of hope stretched to me to cling.
My boat wrecked on the high sea in the tempest of agony,
I tried to swim to the calm shelter of the shore receding.
Someone from within prompted me optimistic I should be,
palliative hope reminded me every cloud has a silver lining.
When the sunny day ended and the dismal night fell fast,
I didn’t forget the sun must sink to rise in splendor again
to inspire the Phoenix in me to ascend from distress dust,
so, I waited for the divine dawn’s touch to assuage my pain.
I felt the gentle south wind waft silver-lined clouds in mind,
after storm the rainbow lured me through its archway to fly,
I found with its melting hues the tapestry of ecstasy defined,
to scale new height of bliss I tried as my wings could soar in sky.
The butterfly flew out of my aching heart on the latticed wing,
flittered through the rippling air on the bright trail of sunray
to the garden of roses blooming hope with the sparkle of spring,
under the new silken sky emerging from the gloom of misty grey.

My volatile mind ascends high in lone emptiness,
floating on the cleft of crimson sunburst cloud,
makes a fascinating painting of formless fantasy
on the crumpled blank canvas,
I kept in the museum of memory for so long,
as with the remains of naive passion of childhood
I follow beguiled the imaged trail of butterflies.
I drift on their latticed wings,
flittering on the cascade of whistling wind
to the flamboyance of the fleeting rainbow hew,
that inspires me to discover from behind the mist
the beauty of life the dark clouds of dismay conceal,
and to believe nothing can stop me
to become a bird spreading wings,
soar in the sky suffused with seamless daydream,
taking my entrapped anguished mind
to the halcyon horizon of infinite freedom,
saturated with the aura of timeless bliss,
when I can imagine I can fly.

Tendrils of shared thought
travel infinite unknowns
—–
If in the known
we separate
If parted?
my will threads ,
weaving,
to you
As a neon light of joy
breathing through life,
calling my ancient name
drawing to home,
and once again
our wills shall inter-chain
A rhythm in life,
the bass of your heart
will find me,
leagues deep
I shall resurface,
thumping to life,
again within you
In the flowing now,
bask,
to the following,
breathless
and unknowing,
I accept the grace of time
and tide,
floating the eddy’s
If by some unknown
we fail in rediscovery
a dream carrying grace
and flowered in life
blooms eternally
Carrying your essence
in presence,
Seeping though walks
wearing an age,
is a comfort dulling
the want to yearn
This will carry through
all eve-rs and afters,
as one.
For we were never parted,
always in unity of each other
latticed together
So I search
to universes end,
with you
I look back at the dusty landscape of memory,
in the reflecting time of the twilight hour,
see in the pediment of the distant blue hills,
cascading down from the hazy horizon,
the young scarlet sun bursting to spread
the surreal splendor on the landscape latticed
with the carvings of meandered streams,
verdant meadows, transparent ponds,
thriving thickets and emerald vales.
My mind embedded in naïvety of juvenile exuberance,
fluttered on the wings of soaring songbirds,
scaling the cerulean sky like my multicolored kites,
flying free at the fringe of the fleeting cloud,
made enigmatic shadows adrift on the landscape,
sculpting my fantasy into nebulous shapes,
so expressive in the shifting intricate play
of the opposites, light and shade,
like the pattern slanting sunbeams created
on the far flung foliage of the thicket
where I ventured to chase the butterflies.
The infantile motifs engraved in the young mind
lie buried now under the sands of time,
blowing in the memory vale of the uprooted life.
Walking the last mile at the edge of twilight
I now trace back the faint footprint trail
to the fading denuded plateau of the past,
sweep the piled up dust, trying to retrieve
the scattered pieces of my youth,
shrouded by the mist of obscurity
in the eroded landscape of life.

There is no such thing as an ordinary angel in heaven
each one comes with its own spectrum of light
each one has a duty to attend to;
In God's luxurious crib,
there are no bars no latticed sides
their wings expand between two shoulder blades
fanning out with regal feathers far and wide .
Majestic extensions that fly them to earth
each time someone dies or a mother gives birth;
There is no such thing as just an angel
each one is exceptional and full of energy intent
each one comes with its own endearment and intimacy
intent on saving and protecting,
through grace and love.
Northern wind’s last draft drifts winter chill away,
lifts the shroud of mist from the lovely landscape,
tinted flotilla of ivory cloud sails in majestic style
from the sunburst horizon across the sapphire sky.
The crown of dew adorns the emerald meadow,
satin leaves hold the buds blooming in brilliance,
the patina of petals radiates the spectrum of hue,
along with the rippling zephyr the fragrance flows,
fluttering on latticed wings of floating butterflies,
it suffuses me with euphoria of splendorous spring.

The blue hills rolled down embracing
the verdant slopes in rhythmic dance,
to the cradle of the humming hamlet
where my childhood home was once.
With formless flotilla of cloud clumps,
floating free in seamless cerulean sky,
my teenage exuberance soared high
with the colorful kites I loved to fly.
The cascading brook of aqua pearls,
flowed down in flamboyant grandeur,
girdling our house in a latticed loop
of horse-shoe contoured meander.
My rainbow tinged paper boats glided
on the curling current’s rippling trail,
on these to distant shore of dreamland
I felt entranced my fervent fantasy sail.
When the storm surged from nowhere,
the kites flew away, and the boats sank,
an uprooted tree, I turned to driftwood,
the boats I search for, stuck at river bank.

When in the hued horizon the crimson sun rose
I saw you flash across my dew latticed meadow
Chromatic glare of dawn flushed your satin face
On flow of time the ripples of my moments froze.
The glint of your seraphic eyes glistered on me
Filled the void of my yearning with your grace
Before like a spritely butterfly you could fly away
Leaving me in the debris of crumbled ecstasy.
On the wings of desire my heart soared up high
Floated across the silver-lined clouds of dismay
Dreams behind portals of rainbow I won’t close
Until my yearning could fly in your sapphire sky.
Whenever I’d plunge in the deep abyss of blue
The fleeting glow of your face I’d seek to view
Through the grey haze of despair it’d take me to
The sunburst horizon where I’d surely find you.

My volatile mind wandered in the terrain of trance,
drifted in the draft of reverie on its latticed wings,
a lonely bird floated in the sunburst recess of sky,
made the fascinating fresco of formless fantasy.
Captive in the suffocating cage of sordid craving,
I broke the bars in dormant dream to be free,
flew beguiled in zephyr when it began to blow,
fluttered in the thicket of yonder pleasant plateau.
From the dust of the demolished dreams I arose,
the dismal sigh of the desolate heart I heard,
the music of love resonated in ardent symphony,
I glided in its cadence, soared in the bowl of blue.
I heard the whispering spring wind singing for me,
as I serenaded with the silver-lined cloud convoy.
After the storm the spectrum of horizon embraced me,
while I ascended suffused with the colors of twilight.
As the departing rain drops sparkled in my eyes,
through the washed pristine prism I could see
the rainbow hues spread on my dancing wings,
while I returned to the nest as a lonely songbird.
