Miles Apart

We live together
Yet we live miles apart
The blackness of addiction
Damaging my soul’s heart.

He works during the day
I work through the night
I believe in my dreams
He believes I’ve no right.

He’s two different people
Sharing the same lies
An intoxicating nightmare
You can see in his eyes.

In the sober state
He denies what he knows
But intoxicated beyond logic
Like a volcano he blows.

Heaving cruel words
He stumbles here and there
Mindless to the pain
He induces without care.

The distance between us
Grows every day
Making me question
Why I bother to stay.

Still I remember
The man I once knew
Handsome and compassionate
He was my dream come true.

His eyes once shined
A mischievous green
And his intimate touch
Made me feel like a queen.

It’s been eight long years
Since our first blind date
But the addiction he harbors
Has sealed our fate.

We live together
Yet we live miles apart
The blackness of co-dependence
Only a victim can chart.

Note:

For 12 years I was married to a very abusive alcoholic--and finally after a miscarriage as
a result of the abuse--I left. A year later I was set up on a blind date with a man I
thought was my dream come true. Handsome, hardworking, compassionate, and downright sexy!
I fell head over heels in love with him--a divorcee like myself--and 3 years later moved
in with him on his hobby farm. He said I made him feel like a king--and I felt like his
queen--this poem tells my story......

Dream/Vision

DREAM/VISION

Yesterday, I pondered all day long.
*The dishes stacked higher and higher*
   Clothes accumulated everywhere
No effort to set things in order
*While dreaming I lingered why bother*

Today, I walked in vision.
*Effort to set things in order was established*
The dishes were washed and stacked in there
   place
Clothes were cleaned and fit in their space
*While walking in vision all lack was erased*

Note: A dream occurs when you are not moving. (Stagnant, Dead, Still)
A vision is a dream moving, for instance, the dream of Doctor
Martin Luther King forty years later is still moving today.

I Had a Dream

I had a dream
That love was forever,
And life was a song
We all sang together.

I had a dream
That we all got along,
And peace filled us
Like a beautiful song.

I had a dream
There was no more violence,
And protesters complained
In expressed silence.

I had a dream
There was no more fear,
And no one had to shed
A mournful tear.

I had a dream
That hearts didn’t break,
And our dreams were something
That no one could take.

I had a dream
That hate came to an end,
And the only real treasure
Was found in that of a friend.

I had a dream
That every one believed,
And success was something
Each one of us achieved.

I had a dream
That when we die,
We became eagles
That soar across the sky.

Egyptian Dream

IT WAS AN EGYPTIAN DREAM

BUT AFTER 25TH, WE CAN REACH TO IT
THEY ALL ADMIT

EGYPTIAN HEROS WENT TO TAHRIR AND PROTESTED
THEIR THOUGTHS AND FEELING NEVER RESTED
THEY WERE OBDURATE
AND BELIEVED IN THEIR FATE

DEMOCRACY WAS A WORD
AND WAS WANTED ALL OVER THE WORLD
IN THE DARKNESS IT WAS THE LIGHT
ALTHOUGH ITS RAY WAS MEAGER
THEY WERE EXTREMILY EAGER

FOR THEIR RIGHT
THEY FIGHT
BABIES CRIED
PROTESTORS DIED
TO FAIL THE DECTATOR
FOR THE LOVE OF THEIR CREATOR
FOR THE LOVE OF THEIR COUNTRY

IN THE GRAVE , THE PROTESTOR LAYS
"THE HERO" THE WORLD SAYS

MY WORDS ARE THE FUTURE
THEY ARE THE HISTORY

ALL OVER THE COUNTRY
MEMORISED AS HISTORY

IT WAS AN EGYPTIAN DREAM
BUT AFTER 25TH, WE CAN REACH TO IT
THEY ALL ADMIT

My Dreams Can Be So Amazing

My dreams can be so amazing

Written By Dean Masciarelli

Thursday, February 18, 2010

My dreams can be so amazing

One moment I can be slip sliding

down a rainbow while its raining

And then free falling into the ocean

Where I find myself surf boarding
without a surf board on top of dolphins

And in the next moment I am on an island

Where I am on top of an elephant

Elephant back riding and drinking
rain water out of banana
leaves while the rain is still falling

But even dreams will come to an ending

I just hope that I can have this dream again

Because a dream like this one
doesn’t happen that often

But when they do they sure are amazing

A Dream of Love

All was dark when He stepped out
To make a dream come true,
A vivid picture in His mind
Of all that He would do.

Anticipation coursed along
With every step He took,
Knowing where, when, and how
Everything would look.

No big event of power raw
No bang and flash of light,
No chaos flinging here and there
No random chance in sight.

With just a single spoken word
His every thought and whim,
Became reality infused
By every part of Him.

His dream was not to make a thing
To look at and enjoy,
A giant, shiny bauble
Or some fancy little toy.

All that happened on that day,
Everything thought of,
Happened when Almighty God
Dreamed a dream of Love.
