Stranger In a Port

Traveling for days, hours afar
Over oceans, that dark and dreary day
Lagged and weary alone
Deep into the Americas, "what country" I could only say

Luggage lugged without freedom of my hands
Onto platform from off of steps
Looking all around, from where I stand

Then I spied a damsel in distress
On a bench sitting, from afar
Crying and sobbing buried face in her lap
the unknown predicament tugged at a heart compelled
I walked to her to investigate the happened mishap

Nearing, I began to sit
She stopping for a moment, raising her head
A teardrop falling away to her wiping it

Then and there I knew she needed a friend
Blinking more than twice, signaling to me
That now she noticed, my stares all too long
Finally opening my mouth
Asking “what is so wrong”?

Her eyes again with tears did streak
Her lips with a quiver
Before she felt the urge to utter or to speak

“I am at a loss to explain it”
"It appears I have been robbed”
Of all of my money and that of an only ticket

Every bit of it gone, she continued to sob
“What could do I”
A nobody her to, a stranger at best
A few measly dollars, my own ticket
This is all that I have left

But, with a surge to the heart and beliefs I could embrace
Reaching into my overcoat pocket
This I know, I would never hesitate

And feeling of joy a small reward
For there was a love there too
Watching those eyes of hers growing wide
When I offered my treasures
And in her a sense of hope renewed

Tell Them, Push Six

A true story of a little bit of glory...

A child no older then three last night
took my hand and said, "please...
tell them, push six."

Paralyzed, memorized, stunned was I.
Deep in the eyes two shiny diamonds fly
and I could never would never say no.
To such a glorious glow.Ever.You bet.
Happily, you'll go.

Like a hole in my heart my soul fell apart
and I could never would never turn again.
Despite a complication of a notion afraid
and abandoned by most or some it was
still. and clear to see. Innocence like that,
Must Be.

And so did I as I promised and set about
my course. Information delivery with
urgent expectancy making note of faces
and names. There won't be one forgotten
if anything should happen and the plan
go stray you see. We made a Note. And
we took special inventory.

Then the child smiled when I sat A
while to explain we had all understood.

Then my heart teared from the gift of her
ears when her eyes looked back, she nod.

Then the Mother and I shared a wink
And yeah, the Boss was watchin. You can bet.
She's due to be Mom too.

~Three Ladies in a Circle make five.Around Two~

Arrangements set! and firm under Hood
~ back safely they went to their room.
Floor six!!! Chef let out with a mood!
The likes of Sound we've never heard!
CLEAN chicken soup!

And It was done.Too.Perfection.

Heart of Gold

My friend Terry dresses with style and class still to this day
You can spot her beauty, charm and pleasant aura a mile a way

On holidays she’ll enjoy an expensive bottle of Champagne
But generally it’s good wine especially when in Spain

Fancy restaurants is naturally where she prefers to dine
A healthy gluten-free dish and only the best red wine

Traveling to foreign countries she prefers more than to teach
Learning of other cultures, of course sunbathing on the beach

Her home is so classy it looks as if it came out of a Magazine
To really appreciate its ambiance it needs to be seen

You know the first time you meet her she has a heart of gold
Her values, ethics and morals can’t be bought or sold

She stands by her friends and family through all trials of life
She knows how to be a protective mother and loving wife

A remarkably good listener, eloquent speaker and gifted teacher
An accepting and sympathetic character is naturally within her

She is colorful yet centered, brilliant, witty and together
Doesn’t matter the day, the time, year or the weather

Sensitive, consistently well behaved and honest to the core
It is her faith in humanity and her belief in others, I most adore

A heart of gold, a gorgeous body and soul
Naturally, to be more like her is my goal

For Sean, My Best Friend

Friend
From days of traversing the seas
To home and family
Together we always were
And forever we always will be

Then we went our separate ways
My life, anew, I married
But not you
You found your love
You heart, your devotion
Your were blinded by
her secret potion-

You did not know,
In such a short time
Her heart would explode
And leave you in an icy
Mountain of sorrowful woe

A broken man to me you came
Your love dead, you couldn’t
Even speak her name.
Endless nights wandering the streets
Your mind, your sanity…self defeat

Years you were here
To heal, to mend -
What never should have been.
Under my wing you began to flourish
With our friendship, and trust
You were nourished.

Six years it took for your phantom
To cease
In our endless talks,
You finally found peace.

Away you go on your life’s journey
Never forget me.
I love you, my best friend
Eternally yours, and a hand I shall extend
For you until the final end.

** Sean met a woman he fell in love with, after we got out of the Navy.
She failed to mention she had a heart condition from birth. She passed
away before their wedding day.

BUT IN HEAVEN FACE TO FACE,
BEACAUSE OF THE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST
                     AND HIS AMAZING GRACE,

Premium Member Love Always At Its Best

You know that I prefer to write my poetry better
And that sometimes I have lots of problem saying,
What I have right here, deep, inside my heart and soul,
But thru poetry I find that my feelings are a lot easier expressing.

By now I’ve known you for such a long time.
It seems that for love, it doesn’t take too long to grow for some,
And as you can see for me…this time has been more than, just, enough,
For here inside my heart and soul you’re always more than closer home

And it has taken us so many years by now we both know,
To get us to this right time and certain place.
I look around all me and try to remember mostly all the best.
All the good times instead of the bad ones,we both already had faced

Love has a way just to grow with so much caring,
If fed the right way, always, each and everyday.
With a wonderful doses of trust and unconditional loving care.
So I remind you, that all my thoughts and prayers are just for you

And try to remember and always keep in your mind,
That true love and friendship, in me, you can always find!

Farewell Friend

Oh! Time passed by so quickly
It seems like yesterday,
When you walked into our classroom
With a great smile and a glowing face
Like the sun, shines each and every day.

Soon you will be taking a journey
In which you have never traveled before
The time is [passing by] so quickly
And your heart is like a ticking clock.

You are leaving with a heart so full of love
To follow your hearts desire
So full of mystery and heroic excitement
Ready, for a great adventure and to fulfill your own desires.

Now, we have to say so long and see you later
Knowing that your enthusiasm and kindness
And your smile, is worth more than thousand of words
We will store them in our hearts, like a pearl hidden inside its clam.

We do not say Good Bye, it sounds like an eternity
We only say, so long! So long! Our dearest mate,
Bring us the wealth and fortune
Of every journey you take; but, never lose faith.

Farewell our dearest Friend.

The Tale of Best Friends

heart in heart hand in hand together they stood facing the world
broken homes and despair dreams they at least had one another
year after year they grow from hiding under the sheets from harmful parents
and playing under the bed with cuddly kittens
whispering all their fears and hopes in one other ears
writing notes and hearts with boys name
the outside could not touch them for their love was the proctor
soul mates "is what we are" swinging together on the playground
though the emotional teen years and all the heart brakes and
even petty fights their love kept strong
deaths and marriages come along
hand in hand they comfort one other
holding each other babies laughing saying "forever"
but the hands start to crack and love is fading on one side
the friend tries to hold yet the grip is slipping
left standing outreaching for the "forever" that will never come

Friendship

My Sadness Friend

When I look around the past
Why everything so beautiful
Our friendship very colorful
No anger always volume the time
As this time….

When I look around the past
Why everything just smile
Our friendship no sadness
Just laugh and happiness

Friendship…..
We call this relationship
Has disappear on my heart home
Each time just pain
Each time just tears
God why this happen?...
I feel my heart shattered to pieces…
When you tell the word
That I’m egoistic
Although I never protest

Friendship
We call this relationship
But why you cannot seen my heart ship
6 years was not’t short time
But why just anger exist only in second time
Where is that word friendship?

Friend ….you can deny what I say now
But never ever deny my friendship
Allah know this is so real and true
Friend…
Can you see my sadness?
