From childhood, I was taught all about right and wrong,
and because of those teachings my ethics are strong;
Dad said to tell truths, keep promises, do not judge,
be dependable, show respect, never begrudge.
Mom told me to be tolerant, kind, and humble,
they both said do this and your life will not crumble;
be virtuous, have patience, seek justice for all,
do all this and you will never hit a stone wall.
