The deft will fashion melodies
and cast them to the wind,
proclaiming hopes and verities,
uplifting humankind;
colours unbeknown'st to us
will hover and distill,
and splash 'til they're analogous
to God's almighty will.
We as students of the art
would seek a kindred tone,
interpret measures of the heart
'til grace and joy are one;
re-create with strains mellifluous
the stateliness of Brahms,
sonorities of Mahler,
artists, brothers in arms!
