Grasses don't stand against the wind
As their roots are shallow ,and stems are soft
They have to obey the wind
Falling to the side whichever It calls for
However, tall trees are different
Their roots are deeper, and stems are stronger
They would rather challenge
By their virtues of characters
And by their habits of dealing with nature
In addition to that, their lives are also different
The grass usually has a short life-span
Withering and flourishing in a year
While trees can live longer for several years
Then we will understand their philosophy of life
Grasses have to obey the wind due to their weakness
While trees challenge it by their strength
Thunder rolls in the distance, lightning jags across the sky,
all around the heavens are angry … a fiery strike becomes the eye.
With little rain, and tinder forest, flame reaches out for what is near,
rising through gum and wattle, as undergrowths all disappear,
hell rises up to the heavens; fear on four legs run or die,
sparkling ash swirls to the forefront; smoke quickly fills up the sky.
The roar is a warning to all. Don't hesitate! Run, crawl or fly -
When confusion has ended; destruction and shattered there lie
leaving all eerie; blackened! Scarred! A lifeless bleak charcoal waste,
with layered ash casing the soil. Each living soul has been displaced …
Listen! … The birds are returning. New green appears on blackened tree.
The forest floor is changing; sweet new growth swarms abundantly,
There's movement ahead in the distance - returning is the kangaroo!
Where lush picking is for the taking, as this forest returns anew …
The circle of life is completed. Banksia, grass tree will soon return.
Clematis and orchids will show their heads ...
… and thrive ‘til the forest - is once again ready to burn.
Rolling hills through endless horizon
Sometimes among sea of grass tree appears like a beacon
From the side of the valley fields of grain appear golden
Ancient Gods look at the valley with reflection
Beyond rolling hills forest and mountains are vast
Forever their countenance may last
Sun is shining but serene shadow colossal oak will cast
The wind murmurs the ballad of ancient past
The falcon hovers above the field
Once upon a time this area was battlefield
Now serene and gentle like grass in which soul of this place is concealed
To the all seeing eye of the falcon all is revealed
The fields’ smell of iris and rose feels like a bliss
The eye of the falcon universe sees
It knows apocalypse where beginning is
Where all the paradoxes limiting intelligence cease
Beyond greatest in all that exists and not exists
And lying beyond that mists
Where out worlds math persists
And consoling the soul divine nirvana exists
