One by one the war makers removed their guns
the good boys all came home from the barracks
Left over debris was cleaned from harm’s way
And saddened teardrops are now almost none.
Oh happy day when there are no lost shadows
The heavenly skies have returned to a brilliant blue
Yes there are people in the land who help the hungry
No one needs to remain abandoned and left shallow.
How I dream that these thoughts come true one day
Time remains on your side and it never stops ticking
maybe I will awake from my dreams to a better life
now I dream for tomorrow and another happy say.
Haste great messenger to mirth's tribes and throngs
Announce the old year's ending like our epic songs
Properly written poorly told, poorly written in translation
Purge each heart and prime each purposed hope again
Youth and wisdom will meet matured in one refrain
Nature reminds us, everything true a second chance is given
Emancipate all dreams, break the chain on every heart
Welcome the new beginning and a vision of heaven

Today is October 18, 2008 and in three days I will be celebrating at home.
Very anxious and waiting by the phone.
Waiting in excitement just to hear from you.
So many things to say, so many things to do.
My heart pounds as I try to decide what to say.
Besides Happy 2nd Anniversary; today is our day.
What will I wear, where will we go?
I hope you have everything planned, how I hope so.
Six years together, 2 boys, and 4 stepdaughters later.
Things couldn't be any greater.
You and I spending the entire day together.
Until you call, I will begin writing you a love letter.
I'll start it off by saying "I LOVE YOU BOOP".

As I continue to write, I notice that my eyes are closed. Must be sleep walking.
I must be, because I just remembered a year ago we stopped talking.
I also remember that I've been waiting by the phone around this same time last year.
Praying, hoping, wishing to hear from you as I began to shed a tear.
Still today I sit and wait for you to return to me-your wife.
Hoping you stop playing house with the new woman in your life.
Wondering why I haven't moved on.
It has been a year too long.
They say love is blind, but I can see.
How much pain I'm in. How could you do this to me?
Don't you believe in for better or for worse?
My love for you wasn't enough to quench your thirst.
This whole plan, I must abort.
You should be thanking the Heavens above that I didn't go for child support.
I hoped this letter would have had a happy ending.

New morning on warm wings of light I rise
Golden as your swan bright sun
To see the world with dawn's fresh blooming eyes
The shadowed night now is done
The sand begins to flow again, the clock
Another circle shall sweep
From the barn chimes an accurate cock
Stirred the world from foggy sleep
The new year is began, fresh dreams abroad
The bells all peal with God's love
The potter gathers again each grailed shard
Like winds gather clouds above
