Rapture and Riddle

A sleeping beast
Or winged messenger from God
Lays its quicksand of the truth
And I am spat like a petal from some nameless bloody heart
A constant question of the proof

I scratch in complacent deals
With my fellow’s skin and drone predators
While living in the fields
A cauldron drips
These poppies fix

A soldiers boot
Addiction is
The needle spent is where I live

But faith can be
Such a fickle masturbation of sentiment

Did I nail myself onto the wood
In scarlet scars through shrinking palms
Sacrifice my history
So they could write a misshapen allegory
So they could rest their scraps
In painted psalms of papier-mâché
None of it was me
I was not born to be
An asset
Of their delinquency

Did I lay myself out in love
To hang there torn upon the cross
A plush riddle in comforts upholstery
The benediction of their ease
The filthy placebo of their greed

In the ragged bones I fall to earth
In the moist illusion of the dust
With this wretched taste of famine in my throat

Am I the benediction of their greed
The filthy placebo of their disease

A nameless child who scavenges
For every single breath
As I lay here in the dirt
And in the gluttony of the church
And so for pities sake
Just one more obloquy of prayer
In the chronicle of remembrance

Or sleeping angel
A winged beast sent from the savage eye of God

Lays in the quicksand of the truth
Spat from a stinking petal
Of some cringing bloody heart
And I will gather here a while
The meagre scraps of dust and earth

A constant question of the proof

Understand Yourself To Understand Me

I know who I am and love me even more… ripened like the finest wine never pop my cork.
I love harmony and don’t mean a tune, but a life from harmonious view.
I don’t tolerate the devils dirty work disguised to hide the shallow blue….
Looking like the sandy blue seas once hitting the coast with such beauty, but once unhidden is
truly a Tsunami. God utilizes my time more wisely.
I am God’s special gift, so I feel sorry for you if you choose me to mess with.
To mess with me is to harm yourself stop trying to understand and understand yourself.
Understand God lives and shines through me... do you now understand me, now try to
understand yourself.

Time

Chronos, ordinary time
Kairos for all eternity
Combine into eternal now
And Kingdom comes in time
Cruciform - history & eternity
To spend time, ask God how

Like putting on jeans
Can I put on Jesus
God heard me scream
And he put me on Jesus

Agape does not discriminate
Unconditional love won't escape
The key to open is God's agape
Time to wake up to God is great

Prayer Even Starlight Lasts Not Forever Beseeched

For Paula Swanson's "Beseech" contest:
Prose Poetry Verse:

God has given the moon the stars.
He remains a God beyond the stars!!!
A year or two ago, "Ort" was discovered in space and is where stars are formed -
yes, new stars born upon the darkest of skies ever...?

This scientific world; fascinations with what is beyond, as if "Jacobs ladder" did not
teach us all something.
Objects accidently left in space, just nuts or bolts, yet with the velocity upon
crashing upon the earth surface....?

The lovers and the lonely gaze upon these small bits of light in wonder, in comfort
It has been that way;
ponderings of the heart, the soul, and the mind~
There are as many stars in the sky as grains of sands upon the earth.
This is fact?

It is infact how the Hopi, many old scholars and cultures too, made our time, our
calendar... it is within our own peception of how we could at times perceive the
stars, and yes, "time", time, time, "I am afraid I don't have enough....!" (murmurs)
When in fact, we as humans made that!!!?

Our time, I believe is His Glorious, Lord God that provides all things to both the good
and evil, His love, we only know so little. Like a drop of water in a bucket of ALL His
Love, so, if you ponder to the stars tonight, shed a tear, for some will fall instantly,
many a day; Our Lords magnificence.....goes on and on, and His wrath will come.
Blessed starlight... these bits of light, how I do admire your gestures to the
illuminations of the moon so high, and we awake; another breath~ a Sun!!!!
Echoing in my sanity that is on solid rock~?

~
God bless everyone in the world, please keep our families, our loves safe, within
these times, it is difficult. amen
God, thank you for your Son! Praise to you, Oh Father, Most High
Praises!!!

Are We In the Last Days?

Are we in the 'last days'
where tribulations fall?
Where the horsemen of The Apocalypse
trample over all?
Where talks of peace will falter;
Nay, they will all break down!
A rider on a white horse
will appear with a bow and crown.

The second seal was opened
and this horse was red;
The rider was given a massive sword,
many were rendered dead.
The third seal was opened
a black horse appeared;
He held the scales of justice,
now that was pretty weird!

The fourth seal was opened
a pale horse came into view.
The riders name was Death and Hell;
More killing, nothing new.
The fifth seal was opened
the souls of the saints were there!
White robes were given to them
on the golden stairs.

The sixth seal was opened
a great earthquake did erupt;
The sun became quite black
and the moon it turned to blood.
The great men and the rich men
the mighty and the free;
Hid themselves from the face of God
and His wrath which had to be!!!

This poem is a warning
that God will not be mocked.
Make sure the gates of heaven
are not eternally locked.
Now is the appointed time
to call upon His name.
Don't miss the boat to Heaven,
As Hell is far from tame!

Something of a Vers Libre Rant.

Me?

I'm two hundred and sixty pounds of fat
muscle and bone.
ligaments and nerves.
emotions and freewill.

six feet and three inches
of longing
and of hope
that is bound to be lost

I alone am no hero.

but then again,
alone,
none of us are.

solitude brings out the strength
in only the mad
the frantic
the hopeless
and the dead.

strength lies not in
the whispers of the dead.

is there an after-life?

is there a god?
a heaven?
a devil?
a hell?
a nirvana?
a sanctuary in the clouds; the earth?

i could die on the streets,
as many are

leave no impression on anyone

where is god then?

millions die.

where is god now?

so many christians;
yet so few are christ-like.

i see the hypocritical
the sad
the greedy
the desperate
the mad.

I am one that longs
for love
yet at the same time
i absolutely love the feeling of being sad
above all other emotions.

a rainy city,
overcast and chilly everyday
of every month
of every year.

an apartment,
on the top floor.

my future self
staring out of the window
with a glass of scotch

a teenage alcoholic turned pseudo-celebrity.

my job being listless and endless,
just as my life.

long and un-happy.

this is not what i portray in my life
to my friends
to my love
to my family

they know nothing,
only suspecting.

And yet here i am,
climbing the ladder to a happy little life.

secretly longing for what so many scorn.

loneliness is my blanket and my secure little life is my pillow.

teenage alcoholic turned pseudo-celebrity.

Redeeming the Time In 2009 (Part 1)

the year is still young and those resolutions are still being met
but how do we make the most of the time that's coming yet?
time is so fleeting and the only time we have is now
so it's up to us to make it more meaningful somehow
to make it good, to make it worthwhile just to make it better
we need to follow the Holy Word of God to the letter

these days are more of a challenge with so much evilness all around
war in the Middle East, the crash on Wall Street and the housing market in the ground
we're in a countercultural dilemma just trying to stay in synch with God
going against the world's viewpoints with love for Jesus in our hearts
a relationship with God should be consuming most of our time
a way to redeeming it in the year 2009

to trust in the Lord and not lean towards our own understanding
to redeem the time we have by doing that which He is commanding
Jesus the Christ gave His life so that we may live
and now unto Him our love and faith we should give
redeeming the time by reading and studying His Holy words
a daily devotional quiet time where only the Spirit is heard

to be a true disciple we must take the time
to be spiritually nourished in the year 2009
for you can't think worldly thoughts while doing what God requires
you need to acknowledge His authority and do as He desires
so hand over the keys to that vehicle which is your life
and trust in God to steer you through all the struggle and strife

it might not make much sense to you what the Lord God has planned
so don't going grabbing the steering wheel just hold onto His mighty hand
God knows what's best for you even if you don't agree
just adhere to the path He has set as it will lead to victory

God has given you so many blessings so keep Him always in the mix
and as long as He's in the equation there's no problem that He can't fix
so continue to sustain and maintain a right relationship with God
and keep Him first and foremost forever in your heart
believe in Him, receive from Him and have Him always on your mind
a way to redeeming the time in the year 2009

Broken Heart

Psalm 147:3 God will heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds.

Allow God to bring sunshine into your world.

God's love is with us at every second of our life.
He is with us even more when our hearts and spirits are broken.
When you have suffered a loss or a great disappointment in life,
God is there offering His comfort in the darkest hours.
God never breaks promises and He is always with us,
even in darkness.
God's love has no end.
Trust in God to understand your suffering.
God will always bring healing to your heart, mind, and soul.
God will fix your broken heart and all you have to do is let Him.
Opening your heart to God is easy.
He is waiting to comfort you.
He will offer you protection in time of need.
He will bring peace to your soul.
This is what brings happiness to someone's life.
Happiness is not found in material things,
not even money.
Happiness is found through God.
Allow God to dry your tears of rain and bring sunshine to your world and the ones around
you.

Offering Words of Encouragement
By=Shannon Lynn Farlouis

One Golden Rule

Jesus love the children
He also loves the ones
Who abuse, neglect and hurt them
Constantly doing harm

Jesus loves each “Christian”
Even those who abuse his name
His love contains no boundaries
It always stays the same

If his love contains no boundaries
Love the sinner not the sin
We should follow his example
To reach our heaven in the end

Whether a life is right or wrong
And at times we don’t agree
Learn a lesson from the God of love
Befriend someone who’s in need

Looking back the other way
With judgmental thoughts and stares
Places you with the sinner man
Whose compassion god has gave

Your life example should be a guide
To the love of God above
Show love and compassion to one and all
Or the tables will soon turn
