Taking Control of Life

There are children playing
People saying
Live everyday as your last
And if you haven't been through something
How do you know about the experiences?
All I know is that we're all changing
But if you know where you stand, it shouldn't matter
what obstacles are in the way
As long as you have enough faith to pray

I've noticed people just let things happen to them
But not everybody learns through experience
It's so sad because we get so many chances
Some people just give up or feel confused
Also they feel misguided and misused
To tell you the truth I was one of those people
Now I look up to the steeple.

Beneficence

Along the road of life, beneficence walks with me.
Although this is something you cannot see.
Its within me, but in this world it is so hard to find.
The quality of doing good and being kind.

I know people carry it around, as I do mine,
but people don't let it come out and let it shine.
In today's world, I know it is hard to be kind to one another,
but I don't care if your Mexican, Asian or African, I'll still call you brother.

Maybe some people just need clarity.
Go out and give your time for charity.
Meet new people, and don't judge him or her,
if you do, you will never know who they were.

In my life, this is one part of me I am proud of.
Knowing where ever I go, I bring love.
I hope you agree that this all makes sense,
and you can carry on my story of beneficence.

Come Listen To the Music

I hear the music of the heavenly angels
Coming softly through the blue sky from above
Blending with the music from on the mountain tops
Bringing to all earth's people messages of love.

The song birds are singing to the angels' music
Telling us to hear the words of truth very clear,
"All of earth's people are more alike than different
And to help each other will leave no room for fear".

Come listen to the music of quiet gentle breezes
And music from wild flowers growing on the hill
Whispering softly to awaken our spirits
Saying, "Only listen and let your hearts be still

Why Judge

Why do people judge
Not look into their soul?
Yet one day they will be gone
And suddenly lose control.
Boys judge girls
Girls judge boys
And people just judge other people.
They don't stop and think
And look into their eyes.
You could be the best of friends
But why should you try?
You should because you care.
Don't judge by looks
Because looks aren't always there.
Just think before you act
And see what's inside.

Be Careful

Be careful of the things you say, because you never know when you might be taken away.
Be careful to the people you might hurt, because you might say some bad things and the
next thing you know they're placed down under the dirt!
Be careful because today just might be your end, so treat everyone you happen to meet like
your dearest of friend!
Be careful o your fillings and how you might show, cuz when it's your time to go, you'll
never know!
Just be careful is all that I saying, and whatever you do don't stop paying.
Be careful of how you show your pain, some people can handle it while others are never the
same!
Be careful of only thinking of your self, because you never know who just might need your
help...

We Were Made For So Much More

Is this what were made for?
To live here and go to war?
To give our lives on an insignificant tour?
No. We were made for so much more.

Its been this way from the start,
I'm not one of the troops, but to you I give my heart.
I've never had money, so on my street gun shots rang.
It was a place where you were a target, if you weren't in a gang.

I never converted into one of the thugs,
I don't believe in violence or drugs.
So were these kids made to lead and live a life of gore?
No. We were made for so much more.

The people who build bombs, have such brilliant minds.
So why are we repeating history, can't we see the signs?
In this country we still argue for people to have equal rights.
We need to get over ourselves because we don't want your fights.

Stand up with me and help me do something I already swore.
That I, that we will put an end to all of this world's war.
That we will love each other for what is at the others' core.
Because we know this world was made for so much more.
