I sit on my porch on this beautiful day
I will become this poem prayer I now pray

I have learned to enjoy the simple things in life
My daughter’s smile and the love of my wife

The way the leaves rustle in the morning breeze
God’s music always seems to bring me such ease

I love how the breeze softly kisses my face
Tis’ the natural wonder of God’s embrace

I have learned to love as well as learned to live
You know life’s greatest joy is learning to give

Give all that you are till you empty your cup
Have the heart of a lion, soul of a pup

The beautiful things truly cost not a dime
I’m trying hard to make the most of my time

So many years wasted so few left to go
There are so many things that I wish to know

I learn so many new things each passing day
Sometimes I feel like I’m slipping away

I’m trying hard to become all I can be
I owe that social responsibility

What this poem’s about I truly don’t know
Reckon it’s just another piece of my soul

A soul that has finally found itself some peace
What was once a rock is now softer than fleece

A Shinny Star

I went to my door the other night I seen a star shinning so bright it looked like a angel standing there in the clear night sky it was so beautiful and shinny standing there the other night shinning so bright i know it was meant for me to see that beautiful star shinning so bright
the other night.

Sunrise's Painting

Gently, light touched my eyes
As it tickeled my thighs…

A soft breeze entered my door
A melody played across my room….

A heart beat was heard
As a new day approached….

Lowly, I opened my eyes,
Where a beautiful view was in display…

A view birds can't wait to see…
A view where life begins to speak…

I rested my eyes that morning,
on the sunrise's beautiful drawing...

The drawing that displayed a harmonious painting,
of red, orange, yellow, and the people who are smiling…

The Night

So beautiful and calm
Wish you could reach out for it
Grab it in you palm
Float through it for a bit.
It's dark yet light
This beautiful night
Lay on your back
And stare at the stars
Like a free bird with no bars
I could stay here for hours
But the night the day devours.

4th Floor Balconly

What a beautiful place
It's so peaceful, no sound, there isnt a trace
Cool wind blows against my face
I wish i can stay here forever
I just wont leave, ever
Here my thoughts float off into the sky
I spread my arms out to fly
Looking down below, I feel so high
The rays of sun shine down on me
Untill darkness falls, they're for me to see
Glimmering stars begin to shine
In the darkness peace is still mine
The bright orange sun is rising, far far away
I smile because I can have another peaceful day
4th floor balcony, what a beautiful place
