I wanna be a tree
A big ‘ol block of wood
Just swayin’ in the breeze
Suckin’ in the bad air and
Letting out the good
With squirrels climbing all over
My branches tickling me
Birds nesting
Bugs munching
Flowers blooming
Fruits budding
A man snaps a limb that’s in
His face
That’s how I feel pain
I wanna be a tree
I know why leaves leave
Just Nature callin’
Squirrels never turn their back or
Promise the world
Or break your heart
A tree never knows
Crying….
All alone because you’re
All alone
Wood has knots and it’s ok
But a stomach hurts
Not wood
A tree weathers the storm and love
Creates one
God seems to leave
Mother Nature alone yet
Mettle
In the affairs of Man on a daily basis
I wanna be a tree
A big ol’ block of
wood
While Pinocchio wanted to be a boy
He didn’t know how lucky he was
Forever young
The wind, the clouds, every ray of molten sunlight
brings us joy and beauty.
This much wonder in every day lifts my spirit,
carries me into the future.
Watching nature tells me that we are wise
when we are born,
that we will be forever young.
This knowledge is in every one of us,
it sweeps our doubts away and lets us live.
People I see smile, the toddlers grin,
and the wizened old man has a twinkle in his eye.
They are the wise ones, old as well as young.
Life teaches us to live.
Don't be afraid to grow older.
It is the law of the universe.
"Energy can only change form, it cannot die."
Who are we to doubt God's wisdom?
God, who shows us how amazing nature
renews itsself continuously,
how there is peace, beauty and wonder,
and only humans create war, crime and racism.
Let nature be your guide.
Enjoy every moment,
and believe in Life.
Get me out of this cage.
I am trapped in a box;
In a feeble body,
An empty room.
Horror stage,
Overgrown womb.
Get me out of this prison,
Holding onto the limited.
A nightmare has risen,
World without benefit.
No clairvoyant vision,
A world of waiting,
A realm of hating,
Stating nothing,
We can't fix what is wrong
Get me out of this shell,
It's us that makes this place hell.
We are the ones who create imaginary rules,
Rules that limit ourselves and others, for the sake of organization.
I say: human nature is what drives these fools.
We are the key to our own frustration,
And nature will not change for us,
But remain absolutely the same,
Remain absolutely insane.
Get me out of this animal body, made from debris,
And release my spirit from the trap and set me free.
