Sea Angels

Sea Angels

I walk the ocean sands
and wade among the waves.
I see an angel in motion
dancing on the foam.

This angel swirls and dips
the tutu fans with lunge;
Ballerinas in mid air
Or wings of glossy jell.

Fragile form yet vile
Like love you've had awhile.
Beautiful, yet stings
Jellyfish at the beach.

Emotionless Intelligence

I'm like an angel in flight
an angel drifting through the night
Emotionless intelligence

Illogical

when you are tired
and your mind is weak
and the one you are with
is not the one you seek
something missing still
your life is not complete
answers do not come
angels do not speak

when you feel used up
from all that's coming down
illogical hopes and heart
from thoughts that spin around
and there is no protection
just babbling sounds
your angel turns her head
as you're starting to drown

you hear a lot of noise
but you can't read the words
the movie keeps changing
but you won't be heard
destroying everything built
it's all just too absurd
your angel turned her back
because of what has occurred

when you make a decision
after all this time
and you keep slipping backwards
down the rungs that you climb
and it's never poetry
because none of it rhymes
your angel starts to laugh
cause the lyrics sing your crimes

when the answer finally comes
and it's way too late
the ice is getting thin
but you continue to skate
you break another heart
in your hurry to escape
this is nothing new
you're told it's a trait
your angel shrugs her wings
cause you know she can relate
