Death Before Dishonor

listen
people silent and children crying
out upon this home front we bravely defend
 our men out there
constantly dieing
hoping
for revenge
upon those who smote the stares and stripes
open blaze America spirit
pure and bright
against shallow shores
we must bear
our souls to our enemy

stand!
listen, you all
our country, glory and pride
she needs us now
stand and fight
for it is always
death!
before dishonor

shhhh...listen
hear the drummer boy's call?
quick!
men, gather your women and children
say goodbye
for fight, we must do
straight ahead for the fires of hell
our enemy has shamed us
out of nowhere we will come
bearing down upon them as a force of one

bring pity to the fool
who has rattled the wrong cage
chase him across the ocean so blue
beat him until he is red
and his world turns white
let them hear out roars of barbaric victory
defeated blood flows through the sea
separate our forces
and fly our flag high
can you see our pride?

don't retreat once we are there
punch forward
make their defenses bare
make them suffer the consequences
and have tattooed across their hide:
death before dishonor
that is the only rule
an undefeated policy
now come
brave men of America
fight
for it has always been:
death before dishonor

Mlk

He walks among us in Atlanta
though he be gone so long
He lives with them at Morehouse
voice echoes like a song

How ’bout Ebenezer
where his words still ring today
Martin spoke there many times
urged blacks and whites to pray

Sixteenth street Baptist
where he mourned those little girls
Murdered by the men in sheets
He speaks of them as pearls

And yes he was with Lincoln
said he had a dream
Then marched the streets of Selma
amid white racist screams

The Mason Temple Church of God
He talked of Mountaintop
Lorraine Motel in Memphis
hatred had to stop

They cut him down that day in Memphis
thought civil rights would cease
Martin’s dream of love and vision
lives on; to bring all men to peace

The Last Supper

Sitting around a table, twelve men and You
One looking suspicious, knowing what he’s about to do
Wine being passed in lieu of Your blood
Bread being broken as the life of Your body

Sitting around a table, twelve men and You
Take and eat and drink of these things
I pass them to you
For this is the last time we’ll be together, but again I shall see you

Sitting around a table, twelve men and You
Walking out to the garden, they not knowing what to do
You kneel and pray and cry out to Your Father
Two men can’t stay awake, why did they come, why did they bother

Prayers and sleeping, they do not mix
Along comes a disciple who should be hit with sticks
He has turned on You, for a penny in his pocket
Sold you out for a coin, perhaps to buy a locket

Sitting around a table, twelve men and You
Life will be no more, the people scream, “kill the Jew!”
Turn their backs, they did, watch you lose the fight
Little did they know You would emit a glorious Light

Sitting around a table, twelve men and You
You may have lost the earthly battle
When You died upon that cross
But I know those people cried when they realized what they lost

Glory be to the Father on High

One Hundred Men

One hundred men aged 25

All with a glint in their eye

All wanting to be a success

So they thought they would give it a try

When they reached their 65th year

It became evidently clear

Only 5 men made it

Reached the grade

A few had jobs, and were being paid

The rest were living off the state

And asked the question why?

The five men looked back at them

And this was their reply

We had goals and inspiration

We had courage and determination

We used awareness, let our minds soar

We had faith, to get out of bed for

We never quit, and we never stopped

We never doubted, we reached the top

We had desire and did our best

We used all our skills and nothing less

And that's why we are, A GREAT SUCCESS!

Women

As women we still have to fight for what’s ours now a days,
Because some men believe we should still be stuck in the cooking and cleaning type of phase.
Like we don’t have it rough enough living in a mans day and age,
Because when we’re missing is the only time we make the front page.
Having babies while we’re babies and these men not giving a damn.

No job dropped out of school now we depending on Uncle Sam.
No future to look forward too so we look up in the sky.
Church on every Sunday praying and asking God why.
Being a woman isn’t easy especially a strong one with a head on her shoulders
Basically we’re pins in this world and life changed the bowling balls to boulders.

Double standards to the point where man belittle who we are.
Then they take advantage of us until we’re open like a bar.
Emotionally attached to see the finer things in life.
Cady Stanton wouldn’t stand for just being a mans wife.
In 1848 she was one of many who put up a fight.

Picket signs the whole nine battling for women’s rights.
More money in their pockets and they’re taking our jobs.
Then they screw us over twist and turn like we’re just door knobs.
Some men call us out our names then beat us like we’re a slave
Emotional and mental abuse until we can only cave.

We struggle to stand on two feet then they knock us down to one.
When we can’t take it no more we scream it’s over and some are quick to pull the gun.
We let these men take over our lives and control who we are.
No more shinning light because they turn us into a dimming star.
WE work hard to prove our selves every second minute and hour.

Fighting life’s battles and wars and until we obtain uncontrollable power.
Mother’s telling us what doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger.
With all this we have to strength to keep the fight going longer.
As long as we stand up straight and remember any problem can be solved
Because anything is possible when women get involved.

I Remember

Excuse me! You sir!
Do you have a moment?
I would like to speak with you,
Ask you a few questions.
You see it's been five years
tomorrow, and I wonder;
What your memories are
of that day five years ago.
What's that ? You don't remember?
I do not believe it, How can you have forgotten?
Well, let me remind you!
You see, tomorrow is September 11th,
Five years ago, over three thousand lives
were snuffed out, by an act of terror.
It was delivered, by hidden faces, cowards.
Ruthless men, who act in the name of their God
to kill. Not to Mame, nor injure but murder!
People, they did not even know, nor dislike in the sense.
Fathers, Mothers, Brothers, Sisters, most of all
the innocent children, those who are devoid of hatred.
Those of brave men and women, who thwarted the plan,
Willingly gave their lives, to protect the greater numbers.
Selfishly they sacrificed themselves. Those who's job it is
to save and protect lives , also perished. Why?
Why? sir have you forgotten, when so many have not!
Can you tell me? For I would like to know!
Yes, I can my Son!
You see I have not forgotten!
For they are all here with me, I cradle them in my arms,
each moment of the day! They will always be with me!
As will you, when it is your time! It was theirs! You see
I had a greater purpose for them, they are now Teachers,
Scholars. Have they not taught you to Love, Cherish, each
moment I have given you ? Have they not taught you,
that there is Evil in men that even I cannot cleanse?
Have they also taught you, there is good in the hearts of men?
Have they not confirmed, that you have a will?
A will that allows you to see beyond hatred!
Yes, my Son they have! One more thing before I go!
You remember, Therefore, I remember!

                           Remember!

Be Your Own Man

Don't call yourself a man
You're scared, you're a coward
You're too afraid to be yourself so you give other men your power
You try to hide in the dark and transform in the light
Cause you were made without heart and born without fight
Who cares what others think? Only you know your soul
Don't let your words and your moves be something that others control
Don't follow man, follow God
Make men follow your lead
Plant your own seed and grow your own tree
Men speak of their loyalty but they won't go to jail for you
And if you're forbidden to go to Heaven, they won't go to hell for you
But when they want something from you, that's when they'll be there for you
But when you have nothing to give, they don't even care for you
When will we all learn? When will we understand?
If we don't wanna burn, we have to turn away from man
The best thing for us to do is to put our life in God's hands
When we live for the world, we only live in accord with Satan's plan
We all die in the game when we play with the wrong hand
You can be a righteous leader if you be your own man
