I hold in regard this image that I put on display
The facet of my being aside its integrity I hide
No way will I let the real me have its way
This fashioned fixture is of my creation
Imagine what comes from other's intake of my indefinite revelation
I shed my light on this illusion; behold the sight of this confusion
How deceptively clever is my staged diffusion
A doctored facade be my resolution
Though open to criticism or interpretation
This controlled representation is my dictation
Though possibilities of negative saturation
The propensity of inquiries delve my elation
Imagine an image I forged for review
Respected by many, conclusive by few.
It starts with nothing
Naught and squat
And then a ring
And then a dot
And then a string
So tightly taut
That's the beginning
Of a thought.
The eye is the weapon
The ear is radar
The image is ammunition
The mind’s just bizarre
With the tearing of limbs
You take a breath
The thought is grim
The thought is Death.
The eyes love this
The ears are hating
The image: open canvas
The mind is a painting
With artist's skill
You do your duty
The thought is a thrill
The thought is Beauty.
The eyes are eyes
The ears are ears
The image always lies
The mind always steers
The thoughts that descend
Are simply abnormality
But The Thought never ends
It just morphs back into reality
Snap.
My reflection,
Does not reflect,
Reflect it does not,
So
Should I,
I the none- reflected
Dash my tears upon it,
And see if it ripples an image.
An image of me,
Or an image of me that is,
Yet unknown to me,
But I,
I simply walk through,
The mirror and become the image,
The image not yet reflected.
