Too Many Words

The English language is really messed up
Not to mention, the confusion it brings
Sometimes, I don't undestand it
Just listen to some of these things

We have, "to, too and two"
And it don't add up to six
Ain't that a little confusing?
I'm thinkin' we need a fix

And then, there's, "there, their and they're"
What does this even mean?
Don't you think this language,
Is the craziest you've ever seen?

What about, "for, four and fore"?
Really, who come up with this stuff?
Don't they know learning to read
Was already tough enough?

We have, "pair, pare and pear"
You think they ran out of words?
And I'm not the only one
That this language disturbs

You've heard, "praise, prays and preys"
I mean, how many do we really need?
These words can drive you crazy
Do we need them for to succeed?

Then there's, "heal, heel and he'll"
Homophones are what they're called
It can make some people angry
While other's are simply appalled

One more, "sees, seas and seize"
You know I'm just kidding tho, right?
Without these awesome, wonderful words
How would we ever be able to write?

The Look

When two people get married
A new language will unfold
The man knows not to question why
Just do what he is told

She never has to say a word
It all comes in that glare
It's the look that men never speak about
The "you better not do that" stare

You know the one I speak of
Like when a woman passes by
And if she catches you looking at her
You get that evil eye

Or when you say something stupid
And she just shakes her head
You know the look I'm talking about
That one that says, "You're dead"

Or when you're at her mother's
You better not say a word
You know her eyes are watching you
Even if she's never heard

So when you learn this language
Your words will surely die
The look she'll give will be enough
To even make a grown man cry
