Friends Yet To Meet

Since December, I've been on the Soup
Writing those words of mind,
reading such wonderful poetry
of writers oh so kind.

I've made acquaintances along the way
some that I hold so dear,
writers from so far away
but yet so very near

With some I've had conversation
through e-mail, through poet praise,
some I've read bewilderingly
as if walking through a maze

There's some that I call sweetie
though all of you I bless,
some have shown compassion
through my ailing mess

Pray, one a growing relationship
from the very start,
whom recently I've spoken with
about relationships of the heart

please don't take that out of context
your first thought is probably wrong,
because the heart of which I speak of
is of a Spiritual song

For an hour we spoke of Jesus
of God and the Trinity,
and of what our relationships with them
meant to him and me

We have both had some same experiences
back in our younger times,
we've walked away from Jesus
but, now back with him we feel alive

I thank God for his gift to me
That I met this special friend,
The Soup brought us together
we'll be together to the end.

To my friend in Christ, whom guided us to meet on the Soup and become fast friends
in His Grace and undying Love....Bob Dufresne....God Bless Bob and thanks for being my
Friend....Taz

Healing Restoration

i step outside of myself,
into a world, a world where everything around me is nothing,
and the only true thing that still stands left is my one true God,
what is real,
what is fake,
i abide in love for his names sake,
my eyes are shattered,
and my vision blurred,
only parts of my spirit here on earth to be stirred,
i cannot grasp the immense enormity of my master,
still i love, still i hurt, to know more,
the depth of his love, marked in stone, i am sure,
my own way is not his way,
in solitude and in prayer with him at the end of my day,
as busyness and chaos take up my time,
thoughts of unwanted circumstance fills my mind,
i must release,
i must unfold,
here, everything on earth is nothing when it comes to my soul,
my love for you, Lord, is truly what matters,
through fears and tribulations, or when life seems shattered,
there is a private joy,
a very private real God,
who swoops me up into his arms, when life gets too hard,
as i loose focus for a moment, he gently embraces me,
what feels real here on earth is only what our eyes choose to see,
some pages are still emptly, he said, let me write in your book,
for there will be no need to search, there will be no need to look,
my god accomplishes the impossible,
using pain to bring me healing,
allowing rejection to restore my acceptance,
i cannot understand such irony, while the lord writes the script of this play,
his words fill my spirit, and he'll instruct me what to say,
so i sit back and observe with an open heart,
for god knows my charactor, and he plays the main part,
this part, this love that will never cease to die,
the greatest love of my heart,
the greatest man of my life

Today I Met An Angel

TODAY I MET AN ANGEL

GOD SENT ME A SPECIAL ANGEL
THAT I LOVE SO VERY DEAR,
                   BECAUSE HES VERY SPECIAL
AND FILLS MY HEART WITH CHEER

HE DONT JUDGE ME ON THE OUTSIDE
HE TAKES ME AS I AM,
AND IT DID NOT TAKE ME LONG
TO LOVE HIM AS MY FRIEND.

FRIENDS ARE VERY PRECIOUS IN LIFE
AND I AM GLAD HE GAVE ME YOU,
                BECAUSE I NEED AN ANGEL.
FOR THE STORMS THAT I GO THROUGH

MAY GOD BLESS YOU SPECIAL ANGEL
AND FILL YOU WITH HIS LOVE,
MAY HE FILL YOUR LIFE WITH SUNSHINE
               FROM HEAVEN UP ABOVE.

Maybe You Should Watch Me Burn

god im struggling, god im suffocating
god im shattering, god im unraveling
god don't let it stop......god, its better this way.

My chest is heavy
but its not from the oxygen.
How can my lungs inflate
when I can barely breathe?
Im gasping and yet my lungs don't feel the burn.
How can they when my heart is the one inflamed?
So full of a reserved unrational emotion?
My heart its putting up towers
its making defenses no one can penetrate.
Years will pass and still not even an atomic bomb will make a dent.
I think my heart is hardening.

god im angry, god im unsatisfied
god im putting up a facade,
god please dont let it be.

My head has ample amounts of animosity,
but my heart won't stand for it.
It sends out compassion to flood those volitile cogitations away,
like adrenaline in a altercation.
My head swells with the sudden urge to run amiss
making tours of every memory sufficient enough to spurn that acrimony.

god im overwhelmed, god im so bested
god its for the best, god I understand
god...better me.

To stand above a comrade in a war you've waged against them is not winning
if anything its defeat and betrayal to oneself.
To strike out backwards on our past taking the rough terrain
and easy walking is vigorous but well worth it.
My sanity is forever indebted for had I not seen the alternate
paths and how destructive they'd have been to you,
I would still be standing here in my beligerance.
Whats left of my heart after it was mauled would corode away just like our friendship.
Better me, I don't think I could live with myself lavishly
had the alternative come about.

Better me, I'd rather be the one to burn.

I Now Believe In Angels Since Meeting You

I STARTED TO BELIEVE IN ANGELS HERE
THE DAY GOD SEND YOU TO ME,
THE WAY YOUR SPIRIT JUST,FLOWS SO MUCH
YOU SHOW ME HOW TO SET MY FEELINGS FREE.

YOU PLANTED SEEDS OF LOVE IN MY HEART
AND THEN THEY BEGAN TO GROW,
INTO THE THE FINEST TREASURES OF LIFE
FROM THE TINIEST SEEDS THAT WERE SOWN.

YOU TAUGHT ME TO LOVE MYSELF AT ALL TIMES
AND YOU ACCEPTED ME,IN YOUR HEART,
WE BUILT A BOND OF FRIENDSHIP THERE.
THAT ONLY GOD KNOWS,IT WILL NEVER DEPART.

YOU HAVE THAT CERTAIN LOVE ABOUT YOU
AND IT BRINGS A SMILE TO MY FACE,
ITS BECAUSE OF THE LOVE OF JESUS WE MET
AND TO THIS DAY HIS AMAZING GRACE.

LIKE THE FLOWERS THAT BLOOM IN SPRINGTIME
AND THE LILACS THAT BLOOM IN MAY,
OUR FRIENDSHIP CAN ONLY GROW STRONGER
TO LOVE AND TO CHERISH EACH DAY.

My Friend

A friend looks around the room.
She's not here again,
She said she would be well soon,
How's Little Ginger One- my little friend?

          I'm okay...well, I'm not.
          What I am doing,
          Where I am going
          I know not.

          I'm failing my subjects,
          Feeling shunned by my tutors.
I try and be happy- Look, laters!
Today I hide under my blankets.

I bet you wish that you'd never asked.
No. I'm very glad that I asked.

Remember that God has a plan for you,
No matter how bad it seems.
Remember, too, that we are here for you,
Through all, wether nightmare or dreams.

Amazing people in this world,
Did pants at school and all.
You're an amazing, unique, special person,
And worrying won't help you at all.

With God on your side, who can stand against you?
No one can! Oh my friend, thank you!

What a great feat it is for any,
To cause some one to weep and cry,
Yet cause them to laugh laughter not dry,
My friend, know that I love you plenty.

The Friends That Touch My Heart

THE FRIENDS THAT TOUCH MY HEART

GOD GIVES ME SO MANY BLESSINGS
                     SOME ARE BIG,OTHERS SMALL,
BUT THE BLESSINGS HE GAVE ME IN LIFE
ITS HARD TO NAME THEM ALL.

HE HAS GIVEN ME MANY ONLINE FRIENDS
THAT MEAN THE WORLD TO ME,
                      WITHOUT THEIR FRIENDSHIP AND SUPPORT
I COULD NEVER BE REALLY SEE.

JUST HOW PRECIOUS LIFE REALLY IS
NO MATTER HOW ROUGH THE ROAD,
                      GOD GAVE ME CARING ANGELS,
TO HELP ME LIGHTEN THE LOAD.

SOME I NEVER MET YET IN THIS LIFE
AND SOME I MAY NEVER SEE,
UNTIL THE DAY WE REACH HEAVEN
                      WHERE WE WILL SPEND ETERNITY.

TO YOU ALL, THAT IS MY FRIEND HERE
I JUST WANTED YOU ALL TO KNOW,
I WOULD NOT TRADE OUR FRIENDSHIP
                       FOR ANY SILVER OR GOLD.
