Best Forgivenessfuture Poems
Her ruined life lay at her feet; shattered bits of days;
Words spoken in anger echo in the wake
Of departure.
Her future now uncertain; broken dreams,
Bits of forgotten promises scattered like leaves
Of winter.
Her greatest regret, her prominent guilt,
Actions taken carelessly; a thoughtless whim
Of emotion.
Her greatest sorrow, her dominant grief;
Words spoken fall deaf; sincerity unheard and devoid
Of absolution.
She is sorry.
She seeks forgiveness.
From him there is none; he has left her behind
And gone on to another life, a separate home
Of existence.
She is sorry.
She seeks forgiveness.
From Him there is all, encompassing her with love,
Enfolding her in His arms, sheltering her with His shield
Of compassion.
Her ruined life lay at her feet; she looks no longer to the world
But to Him to absolve the pain, the sorrow
Of regret.
She is forgiven.
Her future recast; beautiful dreams,
Visions of heaven lay upon her heart like wings
Of angels.
She is forgiven.
