She's frail and weak sprawled out on the floor
Can I really do this any more
I am the one that took on the task
Hoping that with Love and family her life would last
I don't mind to work calling in
Or staying with her all weekend
But the helplessness that I feel
Is more then which some times I can deal
Maybe better hands I should put her in
But not seeing us or feeling the love would she still win
It may even be that I over react
But once she's gone I can't take it back
So I spend my day comforting her
Knowing that in reality there isn't a cure
So my friends I ask for just one prayer from you
This is by far the hardest thing I've ever had to do
It's not like she'll recover at all
More like we are just waiting til God Gives us a call!

Seems like a long time since we’ve had a talk
Wasn’t in a hurry, so I just stopped by
I don’t get up this way too often
Don’t mind me, sometimes I cry
The kids are fine, they’re all grown now
They get home every now and then
Still talk about Grandma’s house
Sunday visits way back when
The years go by so quickly
Seems like yesterday you were here
I still have the memories
Of the days I hold so dear
I’ve been married to your daughter now
For over forty years
She stayed with me through the hard times
I guess we had more smiles than tears
I’m going to stop to see my mom
She’s resting over there
I’ll be back another day
When I have more time to spare
I just stopped by to say hello
And visit my mother while I’m here
Lay some flowers on your graves
Say a prayer and shed a tear.
