LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY MINISTRY ENABLER
Lord God, You are my ministry Enabler along Your sovereign ruling
Thank You for strengthening me in my service-calling
While I abide in Your plan, Your will … fulfilling
Indeed, seeking Your prudent counselling.
Lord God, You are my ministry Enabler along Your everlasting cause
Thank You for supplying me with Your bounty without any pause
While I stay inside Your protection from sin’s destructive claws
Indeed, doing Your divine business for Your commendable applause.
Lord God, You are my ministry Enabler along Your heavenly kingdom
Thank You for settling me in Your course with Your granted freedom
While I follow Your guidance of perfect wisdom
Indeed, learning from Your knowledge, overcoming boredom.
Lord God, You are my ministry Enabler along Your worthy account
Thank You for satisfying me with numerous blessings I can’t recount
While I appreciate Your sacrifice-price never my soul should discount
Indeed, engaging in Your work which in eternity truly does count.
Lord God, You are my ministry Enabler along Your compassionate invitation
Thank You for sheltering me toward guided task-completion
While I trust Your counsel with good courage in my direction
Indeed, participating in Your church through Your instruction.
Lord God, You are my ministry Enabler along Your illumining holiness
Thank You for sanctifying me to shield my faith by Your graciousness
While I consecrate myself unto Your control with joyous willingness
Indeed, exalting Your name for Your greatness’ gloriousness.
Lord God, You are my ministry Enabler along Your progressive prosperity
Thank You for separating me to submit to Your royal majesty
While I obey Your command with supreme authority
Indeed, honouring Your Word midst genuine sincerity.

Oh my God! You are such a liar!
Sitting in a chair, your eyes conspire
To tell me lies you’ve told before.
But to me, you cannot hide the core
In your existence.
Oh my God! I can hear you hiding
Behind these words you are confiding.
Your eyes plead for my silence.
Weakly, you ask for my reliance
In your existence.
Oh my God! I would chew those lies,
Lest you hate and cut all ties.
I’ll take your reasons with a smile,
So that I may rest here for a while
In your existence.
Oh my God! I hate all the things I know!
Hate all those things that you won’t show.
So, keep lying to me for goodness sake!
Perhaps, someday, it will restore my faith
In your existence.
Begrudging Enabler
Why do you do this to yourself?
Maybe a better question is
why do I allow you to do this
to yourself?
I have been your enabler.
If you ask me to go get your
poison I will begrudgingly
oblige, helping you to kill
yourself.
After I give you the goods
I will walk away feeling like
crap about it, dreaming
of the day that I have the
courage to tell you no
I abhor…
bigotry,
dishonesty,
hate and
disloyalty,
bias
and jealousy,
misogyny
and tyranny
But more than anything
I hate weakness in all its forms,
cowardice being the most destructive,
which allows all of the things I abhor…
to exist

Lord God, You are my walk’s Enabler,
always making me whole against sinfulness pole
Thank You for healing my impotent body, spirit, and soul
For me to rise up, following You toward Your set goal
By Your carrying strength to help me fulfill assigned role.
Lord God, You are my walk’s Enabler,
always bracing me up with Your compassion
Thank You for seeking my heart, checking me against pride’s destruction
For me to love You with sincere and steadfast devotion
By Your quickening mercy to raise me toward blessed transformation.
Lord God, You are my walk’s Enabler,
always letting me hear Your encouraging voice
Thank You for ruling over my mind with Your authority’s poise
For me to stay in Your will midst worldliness’ noise
By Your witnessing testimony for truthfulness-choice.
Lord God, You are my walk’s Enabler,
always shining to me with Your wisdom's light
Thank You for shaping my personality along Your standards so right
For me to search Your Scriptures along praise-delight
By Your empowering might I trust in my divine fight.
Lord God, You are my walk’s Enabler,
always blessing me with Your contentment-sufficiency
Thank You for propping my prayer pursuits upon Your miracles’ fervency
For me to draw nigh to You in the liberty of consistency
By Your fulfilling favour, kindness and clemency.
Lord God, You are my walk’s Enabler,
always sealing me with Your jubilant goodness
Thank You for nourishing my satisfaction through Your graciousness
For me to learn and then testify about Your gloriousness
By Your guarding truth of supreme greatness.
Lord God, You are my walk’s Enabler,
always propelling me toward heavenly prosperity
Thank You for teaching my character the values of eternity
For me to ascend upward triumphant immortality
By Your guiding direction marked by Your victorious sovereignty.

Where ere befell a guiding light
Shining eyes beheld a glory
Holp toward a muted purpose—
A distant feigning glimmer,
Beyond the pale of words.
An aching need to be remade,
A sculptor's hand; a brutal vision
A child; a blank canvas,
A naivety, a submissive nature,
An eagerness to please.
Lead them to a dimming light,
There amidst our dying shadows;
There betwixt the Sun and Night,
Where line the winding gallows.
Where shame forsakes the birth-right
That a darker voice be heard.
And offer up their souls of light
Like the flourishing of birds.
The blinding faith sees not the wraith
Whose night has coiled a cold embrace.
The sun shall nevermore break
Where the twilight, some sayeth,
Precedes its visage upon the lake.
Darkness shall have usurp'd the day
And those who needed believe
Shall have naught to say,
Atop the boroughs as they grieve,
Bearing the known regrets
And we—
The freedom used to deceive,
To let embolden depravity,
To watch the flames spread despair and misery.
The freedom to preach hate and heresy,
To wrongfully endure—
For which we all shall sorely pay.
