My Kids Is Home Schooled

My Kids Is Home Schooled

By Elton Camp

Them thar schools is evil as can be
Hit ain’t no place fer my kin to see
To git wicked ideas into thar head
When them books they’s done read

I can learn them all of what they need
So thet from th’ devil’s world be freed
I kin teach all thet English, science, math
And keep my young uns on th’ right path

Then hit should take only jest a little bit
Some high-payin’ jobs fer them all to git
On thar heads wear a fine new paper hat
And say, “Would yew like fries wif that?”

(Before the cries of outrage begin, let
me say that home schooling can be a
viable option that results in a quality
education. It can also be otherwise.)
