Best Deathlonging Poems
Cast in the shadows
Lost in the deep
Are suicidal thoughts
Merely for the weak
Mired in subversive thought
In waves of despair
Is a longing for nurture
In the fruits that we bear
Distanced from a reality
That may never be
Lies a broken angel
So blinded by hate it cannot see
Cradled in pestilence
Sloth spreads like mold
Death become imminent
As frost surrounds the soul
This is where it died
where faith and hope succumbed to death.
Where our tears bitter and longing
sting the parched clay.
Where birds resound their daily choruses
intermingled with the mournings,
the serrated sobs that saw the concept
of what should have been.
Shh...they speak as I drift into an unwaking sleep.
The slowly whispers a lullaby.
As spiders crawl down my body they bed for me to go into an unforgotten sleep.
My veins fill with the longing dark poison.
I do not weep nor prosper with despair.
Each one putting a black dagger through my heart.
Blood by blood, my unforgiving sins unravel.
-Kallie Mason
smell the summer eve as light turns to dusk look over the urban houses and past the humans
faces looking to the sky
inhale deep trying to find peace. tears roll down in sorrow and longing perhaps one day the
long away peace will come
will the answers come if you seek or will the truth tear you apart questioning all you believe
only if the sky is heaven and the raindrops that fall are reminders of hope, of love, or letters
messages sent down below to those on earth trying to recoup all that is lost
to move on to let time ease the wounds that never seem to fade
yet somehow if the hurt fades and the anger goes will your face be wash away when i close
my eyes?
like chains of grief that bind me and your the key
will the key ever come to let the chains fall away
FIND THE WAY
A good friend of mine
Gone far too soon
Had to escape
Made his life a cell
Wish I had the key
To have let him out
Can’t understand why
He felt he had to live this way
Remembering all the good times
Helps to hold the tears away
Far from my eyes
I hold them trapped inside
Fear of self-combustion
Is my reason for this rhyme
Smile on his face
Adventure on his mind
Some sort of untouchable
Lines to climb
A cause of loss unfathomable
To the mind
Only sources of them far
Too easy to find
Every twist in my stomach
Seams another twisted line
Feelings for a longing to
Pass to any other place
Locked deep inside the mind
An as words just fall into place
As what I’d imagine it would feel
Like strands of relief within
Every tear. I write
Memories I have will last my life
Souls drift on into the light
Find a home to rest these eyes
Hold a place for me but know
I will follow far behind
Fear much, I do but love is strong
My will stay sharp as I know
The blade is strong
Fear no past
The here is now
So find the way and rest easy
At peace my friend
For today is the day
We put all our ill feelings away
And we push on knowing
We will meet again some day
JDU RIP AGE 25 2010
O, you left without us saying farewell
I know you meant no discourtesy, dear
You were just so eager to go. Each cell
Of your being was homesick being here
Each hour was filled with a longing to know
For we did not just from nothing appeared
But from a veil beyond time came to show
Love's omnipresence in his word declared
I know your dust sleep still where you were laid
And your flesh awaits the sweet trumpet's sound
But the being that's your spirit just wade
Up to heaven and I on Sinai's ground
Still wanders around. I love you, miss you
But will not cry, just long for my city
And the good company. Old loves made new
Farewell then, see you again in glory.
I cry unto you, and still my tears go unnoticed, why do you crave my attention to spurn
me when I step forward?
My hands dig into the soil, earth crumbles through my fingers, the stains of mud cling to
my fingernails, as dirty and soiled as my soul.
I am Scarred by your hatred of my weakness, though my weakness be you, despising myself
for my need, yet succumbing to it's call.
The knife cuts deeper into my flesh, yet my wounds bleed your blood, my veins hold no life
force of their own, the same knife that carves your name upon my shame.
Under a veil of deception you tease and taunt my yearnings, my longing for that which
evades me at each turn.
No-more shall you take from me, that which brings release to my spirit,I also prepare for you.
Salvations saving grace, by the hand that once was held within your's, to this I solemnly vow.
This night I deliver unto you my word, you will hear my call, tonight I will not be turned
away.
The knife has been sharpened by your viscous tongue, yes tonight I give you my word, as
this dagger severs your throat.
I delight in the attention you now attempt to offer me, Mercy is the word you give to me,
too late, it's too late.
As I raise the dagger once more, under the weeping silhouette of the moon, I again give
unto you my word, and my word is death.
