Best Allegorybird Poems
A bird in a cage; your inner demons will rage
A bird in the air your dreams cannot pair
A bird on a ledge; your losing your competitive edge
A bird in the tree is no fait accompli
A bird in the nest; all aspirations laid to rest
A bird in the mound; your tactics are not sound
A bird on the pond; your fleeting visions will abscond
A bird on the ground; all hope is not yet drowned
A bird in the hand; your gratuities are panned
long legged huntress like secretary
some having vanished without regrets
follow that bird at least I said contrary
with regrets some like bitterns and egrets
terms corrupt also shikepoke to skid row
they flock together I would not rather
foul names come from fowls among marshy green grow
with speech like this would not miss a feather
foul names come from fowls but for night heron's that stinks
flight for now well that is for the birds
follow that bird whooping cranes hope they don’t go extinct
as for me at least I said a word
Part 1
The sun reflects
the sunlight
as it dances upon
the water
a sea - bird wings
its way
Over
the
rolling waves
Our small boat
will only keep
us afloat
for a short time
Let us
learn
the secrets of
the deep
before we are finally
engulfed
Part 2
Do not ask
what you must
see in the
deep waters of the world
Poseidon himself
couldn't tell you
what is the newest and the best
in our world
as it slips down
into the waters
On the shore.....
Part 3
.....a small bird hops along
on the sand
let's face up to the changes
Let us catch fish
before they swim
out of reach
on our small island
we will have a veritable feast
If you want to understand
then don't weep or
laugh
Rather, breathe
deeply of the salt air
leek up at the heavens find an auspicious day
Set forth for parts unknown
