Yesterday Turned Inside Out By Doubt

YESTERDAY TURNED INSIDE OUT BY DOUBT

there once was a past
a past that refused to last
nor would it fasten fast

there once was a yesterday
a yesterday that said yes to the merry month of May
yesterday

there once were dreams
visions misbegotten by misery and maudlin moonbeams
there were dreams

there once were hopes
hopes reigned in by unrelentless ropes

there once was tomorrow
a tomorrow untamed, tumultuous and tormented by sorrow

there once was two lover's trend
then there was an end

and then there is today
a tawdry today
a today torturous and tremulous by nature and way 
yes, this is indeed..................
an indiscrete day of greed
and all i've got today to say
is all of this is because she walked away
