Doctor visits---Paying bills
Always climbing up lifes hill
Hoping to stay on the top
But suddenly you fall and drop
Back to the bottom once again
From struggles that never end
Repairmen, food and monthly rent
There is always a big dent
In your savings account book
Sometimes your afraid to look
At your dwindling low balance
Dividing money is a challenge
Between diapers, clothes and fun
But your not the only one
Going through this daily stress
Life and money is a mess
We take it one step at a time
Hoping there's a day we'll find
That hill no longer has a drop
We are on the very top
Looking at a bright new view
No more struggles to go through

eventually, you have to give back
for something that you took
when you're totaling up the ledger
numbers in your account book
the columns are too long
no mathematical symmetry
debits outweighing credits
if you took more than you need
I'm not saying
I didn't see you flinch
I'm not saying
you weren't there in a pinch
I'm not saying
you didn't budge an inch
all I'm saying
is it shouldn't end like this
