Zoom To the Rescue

The morning was rainy And warm but they said That temps would be dropping To freezing instead. Thus, out in the suburbs An email was sent That schools would be closed; Safety was their intent. So, Zoom to the rescue! The kids are prepared. From travel on icy roads All would be spared. Back when I was teaching When there was no tech, We drove and hoped not to End up in a wreck.

though there have some frustrating and even amusing aspects to learning zoom, i look forward to the day when it will be used more and more often to save on travel costs and emissions as well as to increase safety... great though-provoking poem

Love your poem! Oh, how times have changed, Ilene. When I was in school the weather never shut down the schools. I waded snow knee-deep to catch a bus (equipped with chains) for the eight-mile drive to school. Not bragging...just sayin'.

Seeing how the storm impacted the NE, my immediate thought was how great it is to be retired and not need to be on those roads to support a family! Well thought and done, Ilene! Aloha!

This is the part of technology I like the best. Though it is difficult to learn new techniques they come in handy on mornings like this. I enjoyed this Ilene. Blessings xxoo
