Ziggy's Now Stardust
I came down from the stars
To Jiven up this planet
I'd seen it from afar
And thought that ut was ****.
I thought I had the answers
Maybe I, could change the world
If I could make you dancers
And let your freak-flags unfurl.
I made it in the charts
You'd not heard stuff like this
I made it to your hearts
I hope my words they didn't miss.
I gave you all my songs
And filled your minds with new ideas
There's no way Love is wrong
In the Trans, Straights or the Queers.
If you Love and be yourself
You won't hurt those in your way
If you try your best to help
You get the most out of each day.
I played the game of fame
An traveled round from town to town
Until the whole world knew my name
And recognised that Bowie sound
and recognised that Bowie sound.
But now my time has come
So please don't have a sad heart
My work here is all done
And I'll leave you, Mr Blackstar.
