Zen

Sit and stare up to the sky, watch the clouds go drifting by.
The sun will rise, the sun will fall, another day has passed.
People think I've lost my grip 'cause moss grows on my fingertips
But I'm waiting for the moment when I can move at last.

I know the moment will arrive
	Another lifetime passes then
	I'm waiting to achieve Zen.

Seasons come, seasons go, I sit and watch the grasses grow.
Flowers bloom and fade away, another year is gone.
People stare with some surprise, it seems that I've just blinked my eyes
But I'm waiting for the perfect time and then I will move on.

		People say I'm losing touch.
But I don't miss it very much.
		They say I'm missing everything
		But I don't agree....
		Read philosophy....

Blow my shoulders free of dust, scrape away each trace of rust.
The moment is behind me, it went by in a blink.
People laugh or people cry or people shake my hand goodbye
But I'll just keep on waiting, at least there's time to think.

I know the moment will arrive
	Another lifetime passes then
	I'm waiting to achieve Zen.
