Expectations
Captive tour audience;
Lijiang story


Vast mountain range
Snow-capped peaks;
Silence speaks loud


Supersonic boom
Speech echoes wonder;
Our ears feel blast


Overpowering sonic
Lady tour guide drenches;
Too high decibels


So many words
Stressed and jarring;
Blazing this mountain road


Joy lives here
Spring lingers;
Awesome mountain side


This old village
By this mountain;
Agrarian dialect


Cotton candy clouds
Breeze the peaks;
Touch of heaven


Ancient village
Historical tribal culture;
Displaced by modernity
