Yul's Baby Anthem

I once rocked my daughter to sleep on my chest with this song
I repeat the words so she will know she always belong
                                     ***

Daddy, I am your little black queen
 Say it loud
I am gonna walk in state serene
I am black and black is proud

Daddy, when you see under God's blue sky
 Say it loud
Watch me walk with my head held high
I am black and black is proud

Daddy, I am your little black queen
Joy of your love and love of your heart
I walk unflinching in state serene
O let me sleep, and dream my part

Daddy, believe your little baby girl
 Tell the crowd
I am gonna make mine a better world
 No doubts allowed

Daddy, I am your little black queen
O so black and black is proud
Now let me sleep and dream serene
  No noise or fear allowed
