I once rocked my daughter to sleep on my chest with this song
 I repeat the words so she will know she always belong

 I am gonna walk in state serene
 I am black and black is proud

 Watch me walk with my head held high

 I walk unflinching in state serene
 O let me sleep, and dream my part

 Tell the crowd
 I am gonna make mine a better world
 No doubts allowed
