Yuletide Joy

A Trois-Par-Huit for December 12-15-25
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                                                                     Yuletide Joy
                                                                       Evergreen
                                                        Boughs deck the halls with greens
                                                          Yuletide symbol of eternity
                                              Listen!  Skies still echo "Gloria!" wild and free
                                              For hearts that travel deserts by a star to see
                                                    Heaven's prince born in a baby boy
                                                        God's promise now employs
                                                                     Yuletide joy!!!
This was wonderful. I should have made it very clear that I want exact rhymes. Otherwise, perfecto. Congrats and merry Christmas.
Hi Andrea! Thank you for your message and for this delightful, yet difficult, contest challenge and for your placement. I ended up enjoying it. Yes, it would have been good to know you wanted exact rhymes. Hope all is well. Warm blessing to you!
My Dearest Rhyme Time Friend, the spirit of your Christmas poem sparkles with reverent yet vivacious imagery. I especially loved the ardent beauty of "Listen! Skies still echo "Gloria!" wild and free" - so eloquent, so vivid! Your golden pen spills poetic ink with Christmas joy and tinsel shine! Warmest wishes for a joyous Christmastime, my dearest poetry sis... ~Susan
My Dearest Rhyme Time Friend, what joy your beautiful message brought to me today - like a shiny ornament glittering on a Christmas tree. Thank you! For me the joy of Christmas can be found in a manger and the smiles of a divine infant. I do love the line you highlighted. So grateful to share this Yuletide joy with you. Sending you blessings on an angel's song, dearest poetry sis!
Dear Sam, I like how you let the rhythm carry the piece, it feels almost conversational, like you’re thinking out loud but shaping it into verse. Amen, Jesus is the Reason! Holiday, Blessings, Dear Sam, Daniel
Dear Daniel, thank you so much, my friend. You always pick up on the essential elements of my poems, my musings. Even with all of the stress and frustration we can feel in this season, I wanted to express the underlying essence of Christmas that is joy surrounding Jesus' birth. This format does have a wonderful lyrical quality that flows so easily! Fun to share it as musicians. Sending you blessings of pure joy!
Greetings, Tom! Thank you! It seemed to me that we get pulled in so many directions at Christmas that I wanted this poem to bring me back to the essential and most basic reason we celebrate Christmas - to feel the joy. Doing well. Hope you are doing well. Are you traveling? Over Fork Over! Blessings of joy to you!
