You've Got Me Hooked

I swam in the sea What a boring day to be a fish, The water is murky and dark A fish..a treat.. It was like finding a rainbow on a stormy day, I pushed so fast, the snack didn’t leave, what a strange snack The fish slid into my mouth, and then.. Ouch! A spike punctured through my lip I was caught, like the other fish So I waited for my misery to catch up to me Seconds turned to minutes, Minutes felt like hours, The blood from my lip was pouring out, trying to heal my pain But it was impossible My treat that I thought was so great, turned into a nasty regret But did I actually regret it? Because this treat was the only happiness in my life right now And if it didn’t appear, I would be stuck in the same position..the same past But not the same now Now it was different And though my pain grows, I wasn’t realed in, I wasn’t gonna die I was just there and this was my new life…my new goal To learn how to heal because my happiness turned against me
