Youth
Just another word for the measure of inexperience
In noting the challenges ahead will be so immense
In seeing a continual giddiness that confirms your parental view
Just leaving it to mother time for there is little left that you can do
For the more that you say and the harder that you try
The quicker that they will find a way to just slip on by
With everything you said and all the sacrifices you made
They now lay dormant in their head and now you feel betrayed
Fear not in your weariness for you have not failed
For many were more of a mess, yet their ships have still sailed
Enjoy this part of God's greatest Gift
For with every tug at your heart, it's the joy that will lift
Til one day when you both stand eye to eye
And you will see that all that I said was not a lie
For now they will begin to just simply amaze
Showing all the things you taught during all those youthful days
