Started out in this world a boy with big dreams
But my dream died early it surely seems
Started thinking I wasn't going to amount to much
Learned the feel of a bad woman's touch
Started fighting for all I thought I would need
I just wanted to make this world bleed
Started running with the crazy crowd
We really thought our big roar was so loud
Fighting everyone who didn't see it just our way
Thought we were the king's of our little piece of ground
Met this woman who was said to be best around
Fell in love with a good woman gone bad
It was the best of time I felt I ever had
Started moving up in my own little boys mind
Thought I was the best of all of my kind
Started to hate and take just whatever l thought I'd need
Didn't mind if I had to go and make another man bleed
Stealing cars I learned I liked them to be fast
Didn't take long to see all this wouldn't last
Started to see that they wouldn't let me go down without a fight
Got in this car wanting to make things finally turn out right
But it seems my good woman gone bad
Didn't share the same feelings I had
She turned and shouted for the help of the only friend I knew
Came after me and a gun he drew
I couldn't believe she left me high and dry
Trying to make that car get up fly
Tearing up the road trying to break free
I had tried but I couldn't turn my life around
Crying without a sound
Was driving too fast to make a turn
The car rolled over and started to burn
Lost and broken by that fatal crash
Laying beside me was all the stolen cash
Then my good woman gone bad.
Walked up with the best friend I ever had
Smiled down at the sight of me
Bloody body wanted to fight and get up tried
Oh where can a young boy hide
I knew I about die on that spot of ground
She reached for the money saying look what I found
You tried to take it all then you tried to run
She pulled out this little hidden gun
You tried to get away but you didn't get to very far
My good woman gone bad
Left with the best friend I ever had
I felt the tear slip out and the light started to fade oh so fast
I knew I was finally free at last
I got away from the only life I ever knew
A good women gone bad they could never be true
I tried tried to smile but it just wasn't meant to be.
But at least in the end I was was finally free
Lost everything that I have ever known
But in the end of life I was shown
There never would be any time to make things right
If it's only at the end that finally start to see the light
