You'Re What Makes Me Glow

I'm not arrogant nor am I conceded 
I don't brag about what I can do 
for my poem would be nothing if you didn't read it 
thus I shine because of you 
Too often folks that do the greatest things 
believe that they deserve all of the credit 
but you're all behind the joy that my poetry brings 
and my God wont let me forget it. 
Each time I sit down to make my pen bleed 
it is you that I'm thinking about 
each of you give me the love and support that I need 
and cause the best of my poetry to come out. 
I pour my heart out in each poem that I write 
there is pure love in every single line 
but the support from you is the source of my might 
and your love is what causes me to shine. 
Its true I was born possessing a special gift 
it is a gift that I've always shared 
but it would have been one that I could do nothing with 
if none of you had a heart that cared. 
So whenever I'm asked about this light of mine 
I make sure to let all people know 
that it's nothing I do to make me shine 
but you all are what makes me glow.
