You're my mom in Heaven's arms

Inspired by Bosch, Episode 8: Dark Sky, Season 4. Maddie's trip to the desert to feel connected to her mom who was killed. You're my mom in Heaven's arms By Michelle Morris 03/01/2025 I drove out to the desert Out there to be with you Only hills and valleys around me Big skies and cold and Truth Walking in the desert Trying to find that special place Where we were in this old photograph When I was a baby in time and space I'm struggling to find the words I'm struggling to control my emotions So much unsaid between us Our last words in anger spoken I wish I could take them back But now it's just too late I'll never get another chance To fix our past mistakes And even though Nature heals our wounds And ever though I know you forgive me It doesn't take away that sting The pain and regret I'm feeling So I'll just wander around here Under the beautiful Milky Way The dark night sky reflects its majesty Brilliant and eternal and graceful I drove out to the desert Even though I knew you wouldn't be there Because I know you're always around me And deep down I know you care You'll love me always and forever You'll guide me with the stars Send Angels to look after me Because you're my mom in Heaven's arms © Michelle Morris, 2025
