You're Face Won't Crack

Woke up this morning to brilliant sunshine What a way to start the day My spirits couldn't be higher Old Mister Sol and I go back a way When he drops by, can't wipe off this grin From my very ancient mug Amazing how sol can affect our moods You could call it a happiness drug Only happy thoughts should fill our brains Maybe lost a bunch on the markets But we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off And banish the gloom and darkness Each day's filled with promise and opportunity So smile and hang on for dear life There's bound to be good stuff just up ahead Coz you don't get to go around twice So smile damn it... “You're Face Won't Crack”

That last line actually made me smile! Hah! What a profound and deeply meaningful poem this is, you are right sometimes we forget to appreciate things around and be content with whats around. You’ve delivered a very empowering and powerful poem! With so much depth! A much needed reminder this is too! Thank you! Pleasure reading this. Fave definitely for me

another uplifting and positive creation, Jack. I love your soul and spirit! I agree, each day is filled with hope and promise. I've always felt that way, but those feelings are more powerful after having had life-changing surgery about a year ago. I made a vow to myself each day as I pushed past the pain that I would enjoy even the smallest thing and not get irritated with small stuff. It's working. Thanks for being who you are, hugs Sara
