You'Re Different

to be seen in the world is no easy task,
one must scream and shout aloud,
what is wrong with me? you ask,
you struggle to separate from the crowd.

divide yourself from the rest you must,
let your true colors appear on your skin,
find a few whom you can place your trust,
ignorant opinions should never sink in.

to accept yourself is a weight lifted off,
solitude does not feel so lonely
no matter how much they mock and scoff,
you are different, the one and only

We want to be accepted by others as we are but some people find it so so hard - i work with students with autism and they struggle so hard to be accepted and understood. A fabulous write:-) Hugs Jan xx
