Grandma, you’re such an inspiration to me You’re the most important branch in our family tree I thank you for being exactly who you are Your love for me goes so far I love to call you just to hear your voice It makes my heart rejoice The stories you’ve told for many years Still make me shed many tears You mean the world to me And give of yourself so unselfishly You’re a safe haven for me to go With open arms your love you bestow You’re more precious to me than any expensive gem Never do you judge nor condemn You’ve always been there Showing compassion because you care I thank you for all this time I’ve had with you To share your wisdom and your life’s view You’ve never stopped loving me when mistakes I made Didn’t allow your love for me to fade You encourage me to live well And leave the past behind, you say “don’t dwell” My love for you will never descend Nor will it teeter nor bend You are beautiful in my eyes I have definitely won a magnificent prize To have you in my life is more than I can say I’m blessed to have you here to this day To my Grandma Cleo, With All My Love 11-13-07
