Your Wings Brushed My Face

I felt your wings brush across my face
When you took me into your loving embrace
I sensed your compassion when you touched my hand
My pain and sadness you truly did understand

I saw the light of hope in your eyes
Because with me you did empathize
Your voice was music to my ears
It relieved all my doubts and fears

I found contentment and peace in your smile
I knew I wasn't alone to walk this rough mile
My heart was healed by your laughter
I felt I would receive the solace I was after

In you I've witnessed genuine love
A prayer answered by God above
The moment your wings brushed my face
All my concerns and worries were erased

It was partly that and the friends and family who have been by my side through this part of my journey. So glad you liked it. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment. Many Blessings to you! :)

Thank you. The loss of someone that close is hard to get over. But it helps to know that I received a love like his in this lifetime.
