Your Will Power Your Choice

YOUR WILLPOWER YOUR CHOICE It seems the term delinquency, Tunes into almost any frequency, The Meter band does vary though, In societies both high, and low. For adulthood they haste to make, A taste of life they wish to take, A status symbol is their aim, A marred reputation their only gain! The shadow seldom leaves its prey, And with the dawn of every day, The will to turn o’er a new leaf, Is intermittent, and so brief. If strength is found to Steer away, And find a forward way, To keep this evil grip at bay, There’ll be no need to ever stray, Can say goodbye to this Ecstatic evil, Destroying lives, Causing chaos, and upheaval!

Hi Jennifer, this is an excellent write. We have to have the will power to stay on the right track. The choices we make always have repercussions, so we should take a little time to try and make the right ones. So many lives are shattered because the wrong choice is made. Sometimes it is harder to do the right thing but the feelings when we do are the best. There are always consequences for each action we take. Have a wonderful Saturday. Hugs....Mike. XX

For each action there is a reaction, so true . A very meaninful and heartfelt comment Mike which is very much appreciated. Youngsters cant wait to be old enough to do whatever it is they want to do, and as for adults who turn to delinquency, they have both age and a mature brain on their side, they should STOP and think of the resulting consequences first. Someone once told me what makes us feel good quickly may not make us feel so good in the long term. It's quite a tough battle to consider the consequences of actions at the time they may take place. Quite tough.

You have gob smacked me! Once again your words have jumped off the page so profound. If you have will power, you can overcome any upheaval and evil in your life. I have will power and will overcome all obstacles coming my way. This poem has touched us. (PS: Read it out loud to Thoko) Kim

Clever relating delinquency to the arm on the meter maid's frequency, Jennifer. Locally at least, there has been a swing back to fidelity in recent years and it would be encouraging to know that those who sin can still find their way back to grace. Will power is perhaps the most vanishing human trait, just look at any photo of people in 1919 and compare their size and shape with people of 2019! Some great lines, though, Jennifer! Aloha! Rico
