You broke my heart in my dreamy state
You scared away the angels and took me away
You are my cruel gravity, awaiting my fate
You dragged me away from my paradise today

You’re waiting for your chance to screw me over
You’re waiting for your chance to be with another
Well, your wait is over…
Yeah, your wait is over…
I’m over you by now…
So, go away somehow!!
Baby, your time is over…
And your wait is over…

You tried to bring me down with your words of emptiness
You tried to tear me down with your distressful bitterness
You made me sick to the stomach with your callous ways
You disappointed me definitely by your lack of sunny rays

You sure provoked me to anger in my cheery state
You cradled the demons in my head close to your heart
You and your unpredictable nature – I utterly hate!
You made my high spirits low once again from the start

Well-learning to deal with this is not easy. I could never master breakups or figure how to avoid bad relationships when I felt desperate for companionship. What a difficult life a young person has. You are really something being able to express this so realistically. I like the ending since the echoes are tough to silence. Great job!

This is a fictional/based on true events kind of poem. Yeah, we young ones, get it pretty hard as well as the older generation... we all will get through the struggles if we put it in God's hands. Thanks for your comment and I will try to write more uplifting poems. :) -JWE
